you have to be careful because nylon is much more delicate as a fiber than polyester

You can do swatch test (cut small pieces of the fabric/strapping and do different chemical/physical/etc. tests to them) to see if those would effect the color but overall I would say just find some in a softer color and see if you can get a swatch first from the company rather than yardage...That way before you spend a ton on the wrong color, you can see if the color works first.
