Hey Lexi, welcome to coscom and cosplaying on a whole.
This site is bursting with tips and suggestions, and everyone's always happy to help out. I'd suggest learning to sew and craft things for yourself. The costumes mean more when you put your own sweat (unavoidable), blood (invest in bandaids), and tears (hopefully not) into them. It's just a special feeling to wear something you created from nothing, especially if you had to learn a new skill along the way.
