The belt gives you an out for making a separate top & bottom, otherwise you'll need a zipper either on the side or down the back to get in & out of it as a one piece outfit. This will need a LOT of drafting to make it a one piece outfit.

I'd make a long tunic top, ending at the points below the hip line, and pants. Because I like to be able to use the facilities without having to get fully undressed.
