I look like I have a lazy eye in photos

Okay, so I'm practicing becoming photogenic for some photoshoots at upcoming conventions. I've been taking photos at all different angles, but for some reason, in about 99% of the photos I take, I look like I have a lazy eye. It's always the same eye. I have some pictures where I look fine and actually look like I do in the mirror, but a lot of the time my eye seems just droopy.

(I don't remember exactly what I did to look good in a photo -- if I did, I'd be pretty much set.)

So, does anyone have any advice on making your eyes look good in photos? D:

Here's one of my "good" pictures, if it helps at all.
Conventions for 2015 (so far...): Momocon, A-Kon, Otakuthon, Sac Anime
Cosplay line-up: Mayoi Hachikuji (Bakemonogatari), Nona (Death Parade), Nagisa Momoe (Madoka Magica), Menma (AnoHana), Tsukihi Araragi (Bakemonogatari)
