Some great lighting can be found when the Sun is not out. Cloudy days can give softer, more flattering lighting than direct sunlight.
Here is a photo I took just before the Sun came up from behind the mountains. The morning mist added a lot to the depth and beauty.
This photo was taken in the mid-afternoon, the same day. The clouds did gave such a nice light in the people and the scenery.
Both shots are from a movie "SKETCH", I am doing cinematography for in the Philippines.
