HOW TO UPLOAD REGULAR PHOTOS:

- Go to the member gallery section of this website by clicking the photos link at the top of the forums page.

- Log In to the member gallery section with the same username and password as the forums if you haven't already done so.

- Click "upload photos" at the top of the page and select either "default" (main gallery) or an album you've created (for more info on this, see costume photo tutorial below). NOTE: All images MUST be cosplay related: you in costume, other people at cons in costume, progress pics. No artwork (even if you drew it), no copyrighted images (even referece pics), no CGs containing copyrighted logos or any of the above, and no random pics of con buildings, con concerts, plainclothes people meeting with con guests, etc.

- You are allowed 5 NON-COSPLAY IMAGES, but they MUST go into the "non-cosplay album," accessible from the drop down menu when you upload images. However, these still cannot contain any artwork or copywrighted content. For example: "Me at prom" = good, "a drawing I did of Ed Elric" = bad.

- To upload, all photos must be under 640 pixels on the long end. If they are too large, you will need to reduce the pixel height and width on a photo editing program. Also, all photos must be in .JPG format. If they will not upload, try switching the extensions from JPG to JPEG, or vice versa, as the upload filter can be touchy.

HOW TO UPLOAD PHOTOS TO COSTUME PAGES:

Note that at this time, you cannot upload costume photos DIRECTLY to the pages. If you try to do this, it will say "for upgraded members" or something. Ignore this. It means nothing.

STEP ONE: MAKE A COSTUME ENTRY:

- To add a costume to your costume list, click "costume cp" at the top of the forums page. Click "add new costume" to create an entry. For example, "Yuna." There you can add all the info about the costume and upload the costume icon: a plain, 200x200 crop of a photo of your costume, with no text.

STEP TWO: MAKE AN ALBUM FOR YOUR COSTUME

- Go to the member gallery section of this website by clicking the photos link at the top of the forums page.

- Log In to the member gallery section with the same username and password as the forums.

- To create your costume album, click "album admin" at the top of the member gallery page, and create a gallery for the costume (let's keep using "Yuna" as an example.)

STEP THREE: ASSOCIATE YOUR ALBUM WITH YOUR COSTUME:

- To make the photos from a certain album show up on your costume entry page (ie. your Yuna photos on your Yuna costume entry) you need to "associate" the Yuna album with the Yuna costume. When you create your album, select the Yuna costume from the drop down menu under "association." If you already created the album or forgot to do this, go to album admin and edit the Yuna album by clicking the numbered button to the left of the gallery title. Then you can choose the costume from the association menu.

STEP FOUR: UPLOAD PHOTOS INTO THE COSTUME ALBUM:

- Go to the member gallery section of this website by clicking the photos link at the top of the forums page.

- Log In to the member gallery section with the same username and password as the forums if you haven't already done so.

- Click "upload photos" at the top of the page and select the Yuna Album rather than "default" from the drop down menu on the photo upload page. If you've already uploaded the photo, you can move the image into the Yuna album by clicking the "Edit photo" button on the photo page and choosing the gallery from the drop down menu.

NOW, ANY PHOTOS YOU PLACE IN YOUR COSTUME ALBUM SHOULD APPEAR ON YOUR COSTUME PAGE.

REPEAT THIS PROCESS FOR EACH COSTUME.

AT THIS TIME, YOU MAY ONLY ASSOCIATE ONE ALBUM WITH EACH COSTUME - so don't spread any pics you want to appear on the costume page between albums - keep them together. Also, you can't associate pics placed in your "default" gallery.

Associating is NOT required, but it is the only way to put pics on your costume page.

You can also use the album association feature to associate convention albums with conventions you list in "my convention planner" in your user cp. It doesn't do anything right now, but I assume Admin has plans for it eventually.

OTHER PHOTO-RELATED DIRECTIONS:

HOW TO UPLOAD AN AVATAR (FORUM ICON):

- Click "user cp" at the top of the forums page.

- Click "edit avatar" in the column on the left.

- Upload an image no bigger than 150x150. UNLIKE COSTUME ICONS, this icon can have text, or be an image other than you in your costume.

HOW TO PLACE AN IMAGE IN YOUR SIGNATURE:

- You can't do it. That isn't allowed at cosplay.com. Also be aware that signatures may not be larger than 8 lines of text, INCLUDING SPACES.

HOW TO ATTACH AN IMAGE TO FORUM POSTS:

- When replying to a post, click "go advanced" at the bottom of the thread. This setup will give you an option for uploading an attachment to your post.
Wala !
