I am entering my gaara cosplay into the competition at manifest.

I am wearing the same costume at AVCon - but not going into competition - anyway thats a different thread :3

I'm level4chaos from the forums... although, I haven't been there for such a long time, I've probably been deleted. XD

I kind of got threatened by the Melbourne girls at Supanova that I have to go to Manifest again (bad experience in '04 put me off the con entirely, and I haven't been there since). I'm still deciding whether to go though... I'd like to, but that would mean making another costume - although I probably wouldn't enter it in the competition anyway. ^_^;;

well, the manifest forums have been revamped and we had to register again ^^;; So yeah you would have been deleted.

With cosplay, I think you can wear a cosplay that you have worn at other conventions - as long as you haven't won any prizes for it. :3

lol although i'm not going (T_T) due to a school camp, my brother and sister are entering the competition on the Saturday and the Sunday. Hopefully i'll see some pictures of all your cosplays when i get back! ^^ V.

Well, i know my first 2 days.
Chi chi cafe and yuna + lenne
But me and my friend are cosplay on the sunday and we are not sure which one...
so far we have

Sakura+Hinata (Naruto)
Himeno+Muwata (pretear)
Sugar+Pepper (Tiny snow fairy sugar)

and i had a few more but i cant remember.
Got any suggestions?

heya all ^_^ I'll be going to manifest for the first time this year yay~ I'm hoping it will be a good experience, which I'm sure it will be ^-^ I will be attending the ball thing on Thurs and the whole weekend for the con. The costumes I'll be bringing will be:
Thurs: Belldandy's casual dress [Navy one from the movie] From Ah! My Goddess
Fri: Quistis Trepe From FFVIII
Sat: Instructor Quistis From FFVIII
Sun: Kallen from Code Geass

This will be my third year, and I'll also be going to the ball! (Hopefully in my Princess Serenity costume.) Manifest is a really nice Convention, some of it is a little mis-organised, but I'm not really complaining, the fun times totally out-weigh the mis-scheduling etc.
I will give you some tips about the cosplay competitions though, if you're registering to be in the competition that's awesome because you'll be guaranteed a seat in the threate where they hold it, but if you have friends who want to see the event that aren't cosplaying; be sure to tell them to wait outside the doors as soon as you go in for set-up. (The threatre fills up in like 2 minutes after they open the doors, and hundreds of people are sent to other theatres to watch it on a screen via the videocamera they have on the event.)
Also, pre-registering is a must if you want to actually get into the Con. On-the-day tickets sold out at 10am on the Saturday last year, it was crazy!

Thank you for the tips I'll be deffinately pre-registering for both cosplay and the con because I really dont want to travel all the way down there to find out that I cant get in ^^; When abouts to pre regos start? About a month before? I'm just not sure how the ticket ordering works with Manifest ^^;

Hi all. I too am heading down to Manifest this year. Horrah for being a convention n00b XP. I'm not sure if I'll enter the cosplay competition though.

But my cosplays are:
Ball - Rean - Suikogaiden [With a beautiful Sierra ^_^]
Friday - Sha - Dream of Doll [Wish I could get a Shall!]
Saturday - Gizel [or Euram] - Suikoden V [Got a big Suiko Group going ]
Sunday - Prince Clovis Le Britannia - Code Geass [I'm a loner in a group of Numbers and a hypocrite!]

So mmyesh. They are my ideas that I hope I can get ready in time. I'll most likely be hanging with SeishinKibou so if you see her, you'll see me. ^_^

Conventions don't sell tickets. They sell memberships.

As far as I know, pre reg is already open. Whoever is running reg this year appears to be doing a much better job then last year. @_@ 07 will be my 4th Manifest.

This year, as was the case last year, pre-reg opened at Minifest.

It was the date that wasn't confirmed until later.

With the rego, i have a teeny weeny question;
It has the prices for:
weekend
sydicate
sat
sun

So, i read that if i get the weekend, ill be allowed all days INCLUDING friday.
But, if you get a sat/sun day pass, will that let you in friday aswell?
