Time Frame: One week

Pros: Very wonderful and nice person! She's fast with emails, gives you a choice of economical or professional to fit your budget, and makes your order quickly but professionally! Its hard to find a commissioner that replys to your questions so quickly! She even sent a little extra gift with my item

Item Commissioned: Custom Kimono [Kijin from Yami no Matsuei]

Time Frame: 3 months

Pros: First, this is the 2nd commission I have had done with Nugrosjp and as before, it was very professional. She/He kept in close contact with me and since my money was tight because of other things, they allowed me to do smaller payments over the timeline of construction. The Kimono was very comfortable to wear and was probably one of my most comfortable costumes to date.

Cons: There were a few small problems, some of which were my fault, so I don't count them against Nugrosjp, but here were some of the problems that were really problematic.
The under kimono wasn't a kimono, but a white shirt with REALLY long sleeves... I had to kinda contort it into looking like one. It worked. XD Safety pins rock. But we have already begun work on fixing this problem. Other than that, the craftsmanship of the outter kimono, sleeves and designs on the obis and such were beautiful. The collar issue is the only thing I can really say was a problem, but other than that, my commission actually arrived a week ahead of schedule.

Grade: A-

I've got an update from ,my commission from Amethyst Angel. At long last, the costume was completed, in time for ohayocon no less! Regardless of it being 10 months late, she knocked off the second half of the payment of the costume and only charged me shipping.

The costume had a few issues which couldn't really have been properly expressed via email and was easilly fixed [used the wrong type of velcro, but in her defense she couldn't find the type I was looking for. I had some and replaced it no problem.]. Overall the costume turned out better than I had assumed it would. Perhaps because I was waiting so long and obviously quite upset by it..

I can't upgrade her grade TOO much but at the same time she went above and beyond with the quality of the costume, the communication since my last post had improved significantly, and here's the pictures of it if anyone is interested:

Overall, finally? I'll give her a C.

I cant upgrade her more because the project WAS 10 months late but the final outcome was more than acceptable, I'm going to wear and enjoy it at a con or three.. Or four.. Or.. For years to come... And of course, she was very, very fair about it considering the circumstances.

Timeline: I can't remember exactly, but it was about a month before my first deadline of Oct. 10th.
Describe your Experience. Pros, Cons, Comments: My first deadline was Oct. 10th, as we had a scheduled photoshoot on the 13th. We met up in person for her to take measurements & discuss things. One of the only things I asked her to make sure on was the the sides of the jacket were long enough that it would cover my binding, so we took measurements of how far down it would go. Well, the photoshoot got cancelled and so I told her it'd be alright if she took a bit longer on them (a previous friend of mine and I were both getting our arrancar jackets from her). She said that she was almost done with them anyways so she'd likely still be shipping them out that weekend. Didn't hear from her for awhile and they didn't arrive. Decided to commission her for another outfit that's being reviewed underneath this one. She said she'd just ship them all out together (the new outfit & both of the arrancar jackets) before the con we needed them for (Nekocon on November 2nd).

Time went by and we didn't hear from her until a few days before the con. I was getting worried, so I contacted her. She said she'd finished them and would ship them out overnight that Tuesday. I told this to the other guy who was getting his jacket, and he contacted her to get a tracking number to make sure they'd get here on Thursday, since we were leaving to go to the con then. She told him that she hadn't gotten them out on Tuesday since she had a class that day. But, of course, hadn't bothered to tell me that. He got really upset and basically told her that they needed to be there by Thursday or he wanted all of his money back. She ended up driving out from Richmond (about an hour and a half) to meet up with him at the con Thursday night to hand-deliver them.

The jacket is constructed really nicely, but the sides did not come down nearly as far as we discussed. Other than that it's perfect, though.

Final Grade: B

Timeline: A little over a month, I think?
Describe your Experience. Pros, Cons, Comments: The experience was overall the same as the one above. However, along with the hassle we went through to just get our stuff on time, the commission itself was unsatisfactory. The material she used was completely wrong and not the quality I was expecting for $200. The jacket is obviously made out of something heavier and possibly shiny, not what she used. And despite giving her the correct measurements, the shorts were still too small. I felt quite ripped off, to be honest. I tried discussing things with her, as I felt I definitely did not get what I paid for at all, but all she would say was that she would send me a list of how it was all broken down (which she never did).
Final Grade: D-

Yeah, this topic's been a godsend. The costume I got from Nugros is still (after about 12 different wearings, twice to school and twice in the snow even) in amazing shape and everything is still perfectly functional ^_______^

*hugs fatal* Good loooord woman, I think Luppi is cursed for you ^.^;;; But I can definately see what you meant about the other jacket. It would've been harder to make, but I think stretch PVC might've been a better material choice.
