Anyone's opinion on my dress
I was wondering if my dress would fit EGA. That way if i wear it to an convention i can give a proper answer. Here are some links to the pixs and i have more views of the the dress in my gallery.
http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a372/Kurai_811/Other/12-12-07%20Her%20Blood%20Dress/IMG_1818.jpg http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a3...s/IMG_1836.jpg I welcome any opinion's. I do have a feeling that the dress's over all look is missing something so i welcome idea's of any add-ons to possibly fit the EGA look.

Wow that is a stunning dress!
However, I think it may be a little 'too much' for Aristocrat. Specifically, I mean the bustle and the train. I associate EGA (especially when in reference to Mana's clothing line) with cleaner and crisper lines than GL or EGL and with fewer ruffles. http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview....Y=EGA-74377BK2 http://www.interstyleparis.com/filea...s/image019.png Don't change your dress though! It is gorgeous! And of course, this is only my opinion. I would suggest just going online and surfing online stores and articles and forming your own opinion of what Aristocrat is ![]()

It's a lovely dress, but I think it might be a little too "historical-ish" to make me think EGA right away-- the first thing I thought of looking at the line of the dress was an 18th century mantua in the skirt, and a sort of pre-Raphaelite look in the bodice. Accessories could go a long way to change the look to a more modern/pseudo-Victorian EGA sensibility-- a hat or cape/capelet perhaps. Also, I've worn trained EGA gowns to cons before, and they WILL get stepped on no matter how small the train is-- for practicality, you might want to reduce the size of the train or eliminate it entirely.

Wow that is a beautiful gown. I agrre with what others are saying though. The train will get stepped on so either find a way to pin it or eliminate it. Without the train it would bbe grand to wear to a Con Ball/Masqurade*
And I also agree with it being a bit too historical for an EGA look..but still beautiful. You do amazing work ^^

I would recomend that you add a very ruffled petty coat or a slim hoop skirt under it. You can make the petty coat fall into the train to help give it some body as well. EGL seems to be more of a late victorian / edwardian style then what your dress is, but its beautiful none the less.

It's beautiful but I agree with the others reasons for why it is not EGA.

Thanks, I don't plan on changeing the dress. The bustle (bow) is removeable otherwize I can't get into the dress....lol. This is what I feel is Aristocrat, but I guess I went alittle to Elegant.

sweeney todd involves a lot of blood and gore, so be careful if you're squeamish! (i love the music, but the movie definitely squicked me out. v_v ) |
