Arrow How to untangle a CURLY wig?

How would i go about untangling a CURLY wig?

I tried doing this with just a wig brush but it began to stretch and pull the hairs which made it worse. Every time i try to fix it, that happens and its making my wig straighter.

Is there any way to untangle a curly wig without damaging the curls and the wig itself?

I usually do it in an instant when I used it, taking each curl seperately and begin brushing (if you can call it that) gently at the tips of the hair, holding the rest short above that. Depending on the size of the curls, when going up further, I lay it around my hand or finger. From time to time I wash them directly after that, letting the wig dry without doing anything (the curls will return). Only one of my wigs likes curlers more than that method. The curls look prettier when I roll them up.

You could try spreading a detangling lotion through it and then using a wide toothed comb instead of a brush once it's completely dry.
