Timeline (how long your order took to process): Arrived the MORNING after my due date... made me late for the con.
Describe your Experience: I had heard of all the good reviews for this commissioner on cosplay.com, so I decided to give them a chance. I asked them about making Jade for me, and they told me they could make it for around $250 or so. I agree, and the costume was paid for right away.
After this, I never really heard anything from them. No progress updates, photos, not anything. When it got close to my due date, I e-mailed them a few times and was assured it would arrive on time. A week before my due date, I was beginning to get worried. Finally, the day BEFORE my due date, I e-mailed again, and was told they were trying to hurry in finishing my costume. They told me it would be shipped 24 hour express and arrive on the same day I was supposed to leave for the con. Not happy about being late to the con, I decided to sit home and wait.
Well, the costume arrived. The only problem was, it was in HORRIBLE condition. There was no kind of even simple lining on the military jacket, so it looked flimsy and cheap. No pockets in the jacket like there are in the reference picture. The entire outfit from head to foot was horribly wrinkled and covered in loose threads. In fact, there were loose threads EVERYWHERE, still attached to where they were sewing.
The gloves were too tight and didn't fit my hands (I later found out they used a trace of someone else's hand.... didn't even bother to ask for, you know...MINE) and not long enough for my arm. The boot covers ended up being leg covers instead, leaving the black boots I had gotten to be covered by the boot covers absolutely useless. The belt was supposed to have a pacman buckle... nowhere to be found (I had to rush-make my own before leaving). The black shirt was held together by flimsy velcro, apparently it was too much work to install a zipper.
The whole costume was jus a horrible, horrible mess. Absolutely nothing fit, not even the jacket, as it was too big and too long. A waste of $250, and they wouldn't even offer a refund. Such a sham. One of the worst experiences I've ever had with a commissioner. I was so ashamed of it I only wore it for 15 minutes at the con then never put it on again.
