Name of Merchant:ProfessionalOnly
Website: http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZprofessionalonly Item purchased (please include quantity): Long Layer Baby Pink wig, Final Fantasy XII Yazoo Cosplay wig, Blonde Mix Long Party Cosplay wig Links to picture(s) of your received item: Pink wig: http://www.cosplay.com/photo/1572906/ Yazoo wig (heavily styled into Zexion--see attachment for original look): http://www.cosplay.com/photo/1588117/ Blonde wig: (see attachment) Styled into Rikku: http://www.cosplay.com/photo/1615103/ Timeline (how long your order took to process): The pink and Yazoo wig took one week, the blonde wig took 2 weeks. Describe your Experience. Pros, Cons, Comments: The pink wig was completely as expected. Fairly thin, but you can tell in the photo, so that was fair. Color was accurate and very lovely. The Kanekalon fiber was good, not super-silky but not terrible either, and it doesn't tangle much. The Yazoo wig was silky and somewhat thick, especially for a wig from an Asian seller. I had a Angela 750 wig from Cosworx next to me and the fibers felt like the same quality. However, the wig is not silver like in the description--it's an off-white. It looks silver if photographed with flash (sorry, lost that photo >_<), but it really doesn't look silver otherwise. It does dye well as you can see in the resulting Zexion wig photo linked above. The blonde wig was thin, but you can tell in the photo that was fine. However, the color is completely different from the photo. On the ebay page, the wig appears as a yellow/blonde mix, but the wig color is closer to the #24 New Look brand color. Flash and different lightings didn't make it look like the ebay photo at all, so I have no idea how they got that. On the plus side, the fiber is super-silky Japanese kanekalon fiber that resembles the kind from seller "zhenna0036" if you have purchased from them. Final Grade:Pink wig: A+ Yazoo wig: A Blonde wig: B Average Grade: A- I hope attaching photos is ok. If I upload them somewhere, I know I will see them after some time, wonder why I uploaded a photo of a completely unstyled wig, and then delete it by accident ^_^;.

Name of Commissioner: SeveredMuse
Website/C.com gallery: http://www.cosplay.com/member/73110/ http://cosplayfaery.webs.com/index.htm Character commisioned and series: Super Sailor Moon (Manga Version) from Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon Link(s) to picture(s) of your commissioned item: http://www.cosplay.com/gallery/a115855/ (see attachements) Timeline: June 2008 Pros: I was always alerted about things such as her baby brother's birthday, so sending a report would be pushed back for a day or two, but she always made sure to let me know of these things and would prove to me she would be back working on my costume as soon as possible and by e-mailing me and informing me so. Her communication is top notch and informing me of last minute accessories I would like included was never an issue, she would include them aswell. I was so touched. The emphasis on material chosen was wonderfully picked and the final project is wonderful. I think SeveredMuse understands the word of costuming and what it means to a cosplayer and for that I have reason to say I will commission from her again. Her friendship is very valued at this point and forth on. Cons: Paypal was the only annoying thing. Comments: I highly reccomend SeveredMuse as a commissioner. This is an excellent person to work with, her communication and progress pictures are outstanding beyond words. If you need a Sailor Moon/Senshi cosplay, this is the person to ask for a commission. Full pictures of each item requested were provided and pictures that were not presented were discussed in emails aswell as discussion of what materials would be used or customer reccomendation. Yes, I can actually say that even thou I was a bit on the skeptic side about getting a cosplay commissioned on a short deadline, she really came thru and often more than once took my breathe away and proved to me that she could work with a deadline and sell me a beautiful cosplay beyond my expectations. If she is reading this I want to say thank you. I really am eternally grateful. <3 Final Grade: A+ Materials: $35 Costume: $47 with the cost of shipping $3 bringing the total to $50 |

Name of Commissioner: NekoMimiChan
Website/C.com gallery: http://www.cosplay.com/member/75220 Character commisioned and series: Ishida Uryu final form bow (Bleach) Link(s) to picture(s) of your commissioned item: http://www.cosplay.com/photo/1570107/ Timeline: Bow took about 2-3 weeks to make and be sent. Pros: NekoMimiChan was fantastic throughout the whole process. She communicated the progress of the bow nearly everyday, and was always asking for my input on things like bow color, string type/color etc. Delivery and shipping were excellent, it only took about 4 days for the bow to arrive from the US to the UK, and it was very well packed. Cons: None that I can think of. Comments: If you are looking for a fantastic prop/costume maker then look no further than NekoMimiChan. Fantastic communication, very accommodating, and overall just a brilliant person to commission from. Final Grade: A+ |

Kanira - can you please update with post #896 please. Its a prop bow I made a little while ago. For some reason my customers are having a difficult time posting their reviews: there seems to be a very long delay from when they write their review and when it appears - hence the reason why some of them have been skipped. I guess this is more of an admin situation than anything else, but its already happened to three of my customers. Anyway, thanks for the update! seems like I'm doing alot of business this summer ^_^

Name of Commissioner: KawaiiWigs
Website/C.com gallery: http://kawaiiwigs.net/ Character commissioned and series/video game (please include if this was the entire costume, just a jacket, prop, accessory, wig, etc.): Maya Fey (Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney) Wig Links to picture(s) of your commissioned item: N/A Timeline (how long your order took to process): January 2008-Present Describe your Experience. Pros, Cons, Comments.: Cons: Wig Never came, deadline missed completely I order the wig in January and we decided on March 15th for when I was going to receive it. I sent her the contract and check; about a week later she sent me an email saying that she had received the check and that she'd be ordering materials once the check went through. Once the materials arrived, she said that she'd contact me. This was the last time I heard from her (around late Jan. to early Feb.). I emailed her a few times close to the due date and after, and I never received a response. I still haven't received my wig from her. Pros: Her website looked neat, and made her seem like a good choice. Final Grade: F |

no update on commission/vendor here, but I am very happy to see this thread created!
Another thread(a locked "do not order from___" ) had somehow guided me here. Though I've had only bad times with a vendor(not commissioner) listed here, I see it unfortunatly common that if someone was happy with their product, they would not note that. but the few that do(about cosworx for instance) have it pretty ez and can simply go to an extention of its own site to discuss....that is still worth something to me. I had no ideea this thread NOR another related (for commisioners to not go to) existed. And I say this as a future commissioner, and just a normal buyer from vendors noted ^^ Kudos to Kanira for keeping this going well. |

Name of Commissioner:
TaiyoCosplay. Website/C.com gallery: www.taiyocosplay.com http://www.cosplay.com/gallery/m18411/ Character commissioned and series/video game: Tsukasa from Lucky Star winter uniform. Links to picture(s) of your commissioned item: http://www.cosplay.com/gallery/117854/ I lack pictures of it on until I get a wig. *-* -should've done that while I was waiting for the costume to be made- Timeline (how long your order took to process): I paid on May 2nd in full for my Lucky Star cosplay. I received it on July 2nd, though due to a waitlist, she started in the middle of June. Describe your Experience. Pros, Cons, Comments. They were very easy to keep in contact with, and the costume is amazing. It looks better than if I bought it from websites I see advertised all over the internet. They sent it through 2-3 day shipping. It's a good choice of fabric and it is simply amazing. There was a bit of a waitlist, so she started in the middle of June. Final Grade: A.
