Help with Casual Lolita, please!

So I've been into the lolita style for a while now, and know the basic pieces of clothing, the styles, etc. However, I don't have a job, and I want to make the best out of the 100 dollars I have. So, casual Lolita is the best way to go until I can afford better things. So then, what exactly is the typical casual Lolita outfit composed of?
The only thing I know of that's casual are the t-shirts that Candy Violet has:

I wear casual lolita quite a bit, I'm rather fond of wearing t-shirts like those (or things you can find at Target, Delias, and other normal stores) and wearing a lolita skirt with it. Another option is wearing a jsk with a cardigan instead of a blouse.

I wear a little less headwear than I normally would with full-on lolita as well, headbands like these: http://www.forever21.com/product.asp...8947254&Page=3 are ridiculously popular right now, and perfect for casual days.

Here are a couple of casual coordinates I've put together, in case something visual helps:

Meki's coordinates are awesome, great examples. and i have that black f21 headbow and it is sooo worth it to get it, i wear it all the time.

another thing that may help you with coordinating lolita styles is checking the livejournal community Daily_Lolita. they get lots of posts a day and will help train your eye to make good outfits.

Those are both great advice, and I have another bit as well! If you're doing lolita on a budget, I am not the only one who will tell you to shop off-brand and learn a bit of sewing. For example, Walmart has a lot of basic lolita shoes, and shops like J.C. Pennies and Goodies right now are carrying a lot of cute short-sleeved blouses and t-shirts that will help you. As for sewing, it is very easy to go to a local fabric store, find a plain fabric color, and make a circle skirt. Or if you don't feel up to making large pieces of clothing, there are cute ribbon-bows you can get in the wedding section of Walmart that you can glue onto hairclips to make cute, cheap, casual accessories. Second-hand shops and vintage shops are also your friend in a major way.

Anyway, I hope that was helpful. Good luck with being lolita!

A casual coordinate can consist of many different things. When I go casual I usually go for a Empire Waist OP, matching socks and shoes. They’re comfy and simple to coordinate.

This is what I usually end up doing when going casual. I loooove BABY cutsew dresses. (got that same one too)

and here’s a few of my fav casual posts on daily lolita (mostly the ones that where easiest to find)

and swdpunk has posted a bunch of nice and casual outfits.

since you’re on a budget I suggest getting something you can easily dress up and down. I don’t know your body type and what would look best on you so I cant suggest much. Buy Empire Waist jsks and OP’s since they’re easy to dress up and down and buy nice skirts since they work for both casual and none casual loli. As opposed to a simple casual skirt that may only work for casual outfits.

My body type? I'm sort of small-chested and not very tall and I have a-little-past-shoulder-length hair. I'm average weight, I guess. I have a roundish face also. (I don't know why I included that, maybe it helps somehow?) I suppose I could pull off most styles if I wanted to.

You can definitely pull off empire jsks, you lucky thing you. My boobs are too big for them, and thus they make me look pregnant ;_;
