TDK Joker

I haven't had much new lately, so I haven't a chance to post much of anything.

Until now.

I recently completed my new Joker outfit, just in time for the premiere. While there, I was able to meet Christopher Nolan & Gary Oldman.
But, other than that, onto the pics.

HIT ME!

hey i havent been around in a while everytime i come back to this site is after i see something awesome to dress up as like 300 or tf2... anyway yeah i just watched the dark knight and it was insane! and now im thinking of goin as the joker for halloween (lets see if i can actually finish this costume...) can you tell me either where you got pieces for your costume or how you made them... like the shirt you have is an exact match isnt it? and the rest looks close if not exact, so where did you get them or how did you go about making them? thanks!

EDIT: im not to worried about the jacket, i could do the costume without it so that could be the last thing i try to find/make. but the rest is important...

i have no idea how i am going to do my hair though my hair is nothing like his lol anyone have an idea for a wig or something? his hair is kinda thin so i see that being a big problem... maybe i should start growing my hair out now lol.

also i have no idea what the best way to do fake scars would be... any experts wanna share some tips??

Lucky you!!!

There is an existing thread for Batman Cosplay, and yeah, I've done that character, too.

Next up, Nurse Joker!!!

Oh, and Strider, I had used molding wax for face, except I'm thinking I might just shell out for the kit with the prosthetics when it's avaliable.

Thank God for licensing.

hey nice find i wonder how good the wig is in the deluxe kit...

for anyone else interested i found this pic of heath w/ the prosthetic scars but without his make up on!

http://screenrant.com/wp-content/upl...r-no-makeu.jpg

and here is the full link for the site i got it from

i thought it might be helpful in getting a good recreation! anyone know a good way to make custom scars? ill resort to the make up kit if i have to but i would like to make them look as close as possible so i figure i might have to try to make my own... obviously it wont be as good as in the movie cuz i probably wont have access to all the stuff they use professionally but im sure there are tricks people know to get close to this???

EDIT: ok did some more searching and found this site and i think it might be a winner, the prosthetic scars look very close to the ones in the pic i posed above. also they have everything to make it as professional looking as you want it to... not sure if i really feel like speding $80 on the makeup kit BUT atleast i can get the scars there and maybe one of the smaller make up kits...

also they have tutorials here and here for applying make up and prosthetic scars and things of that sort so im sure that will be helpful to any of us planning on doing a joker costume!

ANOTHER EDIT: i also found this make up kit on ebay... i dont think it looks as good BUT it does include the bottom lip scar that the others dont include.... so that is a plus, i wouldnt pay that much just for the bottom lip scar but its something to keep an eye out for in the near future.

Actually, I designed a pattern for the shirt, and had it custom printed onto the fabric.

As for hair... well, mine is nothing like his either. That's a wig I'm wearing. It's a lace front wig, with a thin skin. Same thing they'd use for bald people. So that's where I'm able to get that hairline.

Where did you buy said wig? Or where could I buy one?

I've been tossing around the idea of doing Ledger!Joker for Halloween/SacAnime Winter 09. I like how different and realistic it is compared to the other Joker incarnations.

I got mine at Wal-Mart...although it's a clip-on...

It's a little hard to track down the exact thing, though...

How were you able to meet Chris Nolan and Gary Oldman? Just curious how that went down. By the way great job as usual ^_^
