No, I asked for a petticoat, and it was what they gave me. It looked fairly fine for a petti coat, besides being a big item to cary around all day [but I'd expect that from an item like that]. When I put it on 3 days later, I realized the issue. The girl said nothing about it's abnormal size and it looked like a normal, run of the mill petticoat.

@_@
It'd be easier to delete the damn review then keep explaining this. Let me lay this all out again: -I ask for petticoat -girl gives it to me -looks normal -I try it on day 3 and it's not usable [too puffy] Maybe: -I have tried on the thing, but I didn't have a proper skirt with me and it honestly wasn't feasible. It was sort of a sporadic purchase. Why I'm upset with it: -The girl said nothing about the size -it looks normal Why my grade stays: -I'm not trying to blame them. I just don't feel 100% satisfied with something that was a rather unfortunate error. Why should I give them an A for excellence when it's not true in my case? -B[-] isn't particularly bad. The thing ended up serving me some purpose in the end. -I do not feel 100% confident with purchasing again with them at this point, partially because the girl said nothing, so now I'll have to be on the look out more then I would have expected. -They did not go above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction [the girl said nothing!] -They may be a fine retailer, but I felt they could've improved on informing me of such an abnormal little thing. -"still recommended as they bear possibility of improvement" -"this might have been a fluke in a history of excellence" I believe a B- fits my situation. This is a review based off my experience. If people have an issue with it, they can decide that themselves, but I'm not changing it. You may think I'm stupid and naive for what happened, but I can't go back and change what did.

Name of Merchant: She goes by Ms. Juri Arisugawa
Website:http://www.cosplay.com/marketplace/s...p?product=1748 Item: One Small Paopu Plushie. for $7.50. (Plushie was $5, shipping was $2.) Links to picture(s) of your received item: http://img291.imageshack.us/img291/1458/img1781nt8.jpg http://img185.imageshack.us/img185/2053/img1782ti7.jpg Timeline (how long your order took to process): I began contact with her 7/10. And sent the money on 7/17. She was out of town for a little bit, so she sent the plushie out July 23. The package came in exactly in one week. (well okay 6 days.) She lives in Georgia, I live in Maryland. Comments: Lack of communication made me worry at first, but that was because she got called out of town unexpectedly so that wasn't too much of a problem to me. She was really nice and prompt with the emails in general. The plushie's nice and soft, and although it is unsymmetrical, I like it because it gives the illusion of a naturally grown paopu. Item is just as pictured on the cosplay marketplace! I recommend this if anyone wants a decent paopu prop. She also sells larger pillow ones, which I might buy if the ones at Otakon are way too expensive. Final Grade: A+ ![]()

Name of Commissioner: Sukunai Kitsune
Website/C.com gallery: http://members.cosplay.com/member/31478/ Character commissioned and series/video game (please include if this was the entire costume, just a jacket, prop, accessory, wig, etc.): Vocaloid 2 Mascot Hatsune Miku wig Links to picture(s) of your commissioned item: Official Picture 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 Timeline (how long your order took to process): Around 5-6 months. Describe your Experience. Pros, Cons, Comments. Before I get shot down, when I said that as long as the wig arrived in time for the con then I wouldn't be angry or upset. Thats because I assumed the wig to be better than this. Sukunai Kitsune has more experience than me as a cosplayer, she is an amiable person and has done some excellent work, but I'm afraid this wig isn't a credit to her. I searched for a commissioner back in February/March for this wig, and chose Sukunai Kitsune for said reasons above. Everything was fine, she said she would have the wig done by June, which was two months before the con pretty much and was around 4 months. I pmed her once or twice between Feb/March and June, between this time I also asked for another wig to be commissioned but thats a different story. Also I will double check with pms but I'm very sure that she only had the base wig etc in hand near the beginning of June, rather than having it nearly completed, (Stock and supplier problems? Probable.) Once it came fully came round to June communication hit a dead end. Which to tell you the truth scared the living daylights out of me. Not because of the thought of losing the money spent or anything, but by the fact this cosplay will be my first proper cosplay at my first large anime convention, and it means so much to me. I lost communication with her for about a month, of solid silence, but she was on nearly everyday as her profile showed. Then she came back saying she was busy with an anime con of her own and preparation etc took longer than expected, which is why she could get back to me. Also because of work and school. Fair enough I thought for the work and school, but when I have already paid you around 4 months ago, you hold your cosplays of a higher priority than my commission? T.T I waited and the wig was finally shipped out on the 17th of July, with my con on the 8th of August. Its here now. I opened the box and immediately I noticed that the colour wasn't what I expected. Of course its impossible to tell by just a reference picture, so moving on. I took the wig out and saw that the wig already had ponytails like Sukunai Kitsune told me. Okay, no real problem there but, the wig was somewhat messy at the back. ^^; Because of the ponytails as seen in this picture, it bunches up a lot, rather than the hair being relatively neat, there are kinks where it seems as if the hair hadn't been brushed thoroughly and tied tightly into the ponytail causing the weight of the ponytail to cause all the kinks. The extensions to attach onto the wig are secure, but with all the loose black thread showing, all the white showing through and the slightly odd shortly cut hair around it which looks like this really took the biscuit. I assume it was put into plaits to stop it from knotting severly which worked- but made the extensions wavy when they are pretty much poker straight in the official picture. The wig doesn't cover the wig cap either. I know my head isn't small, lol, but the sides and back are clearly visible. I cannot help but think all these problems would have been solved much earlier, if progress pictures where shown. Work and school is time consuming, I know as a student who works part time myself with important exams attacking left, right and center. But when she was on nearly every single day... Especially when I pmed and didn't receive a reply despite the fact the time of last activity is shown, showing daily visits. I was very scared and worried. Pros: I am very very happy I do have a wig at the end of the day though, because even if the amount of time work and effort where put into it isn't as I imagined or expected, it was still styled to be like Miku by Sukunai Kitsune to be in the way she interpreted it to be. It gives me a clear view of the standard firsthand. Sukunai Kitsune is excellent at styling wigs- but from this I think only short, spikey wigs such as her wonderful KH ones, like she has stated that she specialises in, in her sig. And I do regret having not taken that fully into consideration in February. I'm sorry. I'm not out here to bash, I was just stating the situation with this commission. >< Now I await my next wig... Name of Commissioner: DizzyLizzy
Website/C.com gallery: http://lizzy.agentsofcosplay.com/ Character commissioned and series/video game (please include if this was the entire costume, just a jacket, prop, accessory, wig, etc.): The Preventer Jacket (and pants) from Gundam Wing for my Duo Maxwell cosplay. Links to picture(s) of your commissioned item: http://lizzy.agentsofcosplay.com/gal...eventerjacket/ Me wearing the jacket: http://www.cosplay.com/i/members/200/91659.jpg (I will get better pics soon of me wearing the full costume!) Timeline (how long your order took to process): I initially contacted her at the first of January. I gave her a deadline of June 15th, but she finished earlier than expected! She started around mid/late March and I had it in my possession by May 21st. Describe your Experience. Pros: I could not have asked for a nicer, more understanding commissioner! Lizzy is super friendly and is very understanding and cooperative with what the cosplayer wants. Her communication was great! Once she started on the jacket, she continued to update me throughout its progress, taking several photos at each step along the way. She asked a lot of questions and always responded to me in a timely fashion. I was VERY satisfied with the jacket when I received it! It fit perfectly! It was the right length and everything for what I needed! I also thought her price was very fair, as it included materials, labor, and shipping. ![]() Cons: The only con is that one detail of the jacket is off, but I didn't fuss over it much since I could understand how she could have seen the detail differently based on the reference photos. Comments: After I received the jacket, I had trouble finding pants to match the blue material she used for it. I looked for a few weeks and came up empty handed, so I asked her if she had time to make matching pants. It was a long shot, but she managed to squeeze me in between her other commissions and made me pants to match! This was not at all in our original agreement when I commissioned her for the jacket, so I was extremely grateful that she took the time to make matching pants for me on such short notice! ^____^!!! Final Grade: A+++++++!! I would commission Lizzy again anytime! Last edited by The Godslayer : 07-29-2008 at 08:44 PM. |

SakuraLee, I went ahead and listed the B- grade for your review of Sukunai Kitsune to keep things simple, just because it's the first you listed ^^ If you decide that the C+, or even a different grade altogether, is more appropriate, please let me know so I can change it about accordingly

Okay, but what was she supposed to say? You had the petticoat in your hands. How was she supposed to know what you wanted to use it for, or that you didn't want your petticoat very puffy? You're free to give whatever grade you like, of course, but I don't see that this is the vendor's fault. There's nothing wrong with the product, except that you bought something you don't like. Have you tried contacting them to see whether you could return it?

They didn't give a receipt, so there was no way for me to prove I bought it.
But I think I'm going to delete it, since everybody is having a cow and I'm tired of explaining it. @_@ Edit: Deleted it.

Name of Commissioner Cosplay1
Website/C.com gallery Cosplay1.com Character commissioned and series/video game (please include if this was the entire costume, just a jacket, prop, accessory, wig, etc.) Franziska von Karma - Ace Attorney (Full costume) Links to picture(s) of your commissioned item None atm Timeline (how long your order took to process) Roughly 3 months from first payment to recieved Describe your Experience Alright, so I've worked with this commissioner before and loved them. Naturally, I was excited to be working with them again. I sent off my measurements and my payments and was all giddy when it arrived in the mail. However, my happiness ended pretty quickly when I realized the costume had apparently been made for someone much much smaller than me. (I was close to positive that my measurements weren't the problem, as I had sent the same ones to a different commisioner [lavenderspikes] and what they had made fit just fine. What upset me the most was that it was such a beautiful costume and well made, and didn't come anywhere close to fitting. So I contacted them, and after some negotiation, they finally agreed to remake it. I was concerned about the period of time (three weeks until the con was when they agreed to remake it), but reluctantly agreed. When I recieved a message from them a week later saying that the costume was finished and had been shipped I was really nervous, thinking that there was no way it would be as nice as the original if it had been made in just a week. It came in the mail on Tuesday, and all my fears were thrown out the window. It looked exactly like the original, only this time...it fit! So, despite all the stress, it all worked out in the end, and now I have a beautiful costume for Otakon (and we are curently discussing what will be done with the first costume). After this experience, I am not sure if I will work with them again, but I definitely still reccomend them as a commisioner. Final Grade: Despite this mishap, their costume quality, customer service, and prices are all amazing, and they deserve the A- I am giving. :x

Had the exact same issue with Cosplay1. My costume was way too small for my fatty arms. >.< I thought I was the only one who had this problem and had to have them remake the costume. Great commissioner just be really careful with measurments.

Name: Cosplay Magic
Website: www.cosplaymagic.com Item purchased (please include quantity): 1) Inuyasha robes set -included necklace and toe socks props 1) Inuyasha White Wig w/ ears Links: http://www.cosplaymagic.com/inuyasha5.html Timeline (how long your order took to process): about two weeks including shipping Pros: Costume looks nice Experience with ordering was easy Included accessory props without having to order seperately Discount for buying wig along with costume Cons: Wig and Ears seemed a little on the cheap side, but not too bad. Overall experience was good. I am happy with how my costume looks. Prices were relatively low so I can't complain too much about quality. Only real hang-up was that the ears and the wig were not what I was expecting. Not a big deal. A good choice if you need something soon and don't have time to make or commission it. Would by from again. Overall Grade: A- |
