Hallo, all. ^-^

I'm pretty sure I posted on this thread a long, long time ago. But, well, that was a long, long time ago. I've got about 10 months until my next con (A-kon 20 in Dallas), but I figured I should go ahead and get an idea on who to cosplay. I'm a bit short on cash, but I have time!

I can find others if they're needed. My hair's shoulder length and actually dyed black & auburn red, but I'm willing to dye it to fit a character. xD Also, wigs are fine with me.

So far I've cosplayed Axel (KHII) and Haruka Haruhara... both of which were fun as hell.
I'd appreciate less-mainstream anime/manga, but any ideas would be mucho appreciated. <3

Thankyou everyone for the sudgestions, but sadly, they don't suit my fancy.

I realllyyyyyy don't want a wig, but I might consider dying my hair and I can cut it to match the style.

I'm growing it, the convention is in 9 months.

Come one everyone, please help me, I want a really insane detailed character. Something challenging, so I wont get bored.

With a prop of some sort, also.. some one cute and adorible, but evilish t the same time.

You could try Matt Green from Dramacon. :3

Or if you spiked your hair and maybe cut it a little, you could do a good Balthier from FFXII!

srry i'm posting sooo much. it's my friend and she wants to start cosplaying.
she's around 5'2 tall and kinda on the bulky side. she will wear contacts for cosplay. Pics:

Since she's a little short and willing to wear a wig, she could do Kusajishi Yachiru from Bleach. Because of her more rounded face she'd probably look cute and child-like with a pink wig, which is very Yachiru. ((of course Yachiru is way shorter, but still))

Hm, if you wanted to do a group cosplay then you three would make a great group from the anime The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

The girl on the right would make a good Haruhi. The one in the middle would be a good Yuki, and the one of the left would be a good Mikuru.

I'm a beginner cosplayer, but I do have some sewing skills under my belt. I'm not entirely sure if I will be able to get my claws on a wig, but I will be able to die my hair (at least the blonde part that's there now) back to my original brown color. I can do colored contacts (as long as they are prescription) but probably not cross-playing (for this upcoming year at least. I'm making my bf a Vash costume, and I think he would be a little wierded out if I went as a guy). I'm approximately 5'8, can do heels if I need to. About 127 lbs, decent enough body that I don't mind showing off some skin. My main problem in coming up with characters to cosplay has been that my skin color is rather olive toned, and I have a sharper facial structure than most characters. Any ideas?

Trying this again since my last post got ignored. D:

Height: 5'3-ish
Eyes: brown (POSSIBLY open to contacts; not sure though)
Hair: waist-length, dark/medium brown with golden brown sun streaks (I'm open to wigs)
Weight: fluctuates, though it's always in the general the 100 lbs area.
Sewing abilities: ... beginner/intermediate? I can follow a pattern and make alterations to it
Other: Crossplays are fine. Skimpy outfits are not.

Pictures:

[1] - Wearing minor eye makeup; the pic is at least a year old, but I haven't changed much since then. o_o;
[2] - Wearing a wig, no makeup whatsoever. This picture is more recent; this week, to be exact.

You look like you could pull off almost any Final Fantasy girl. Like Yuffie or Tifa from VII or Rikku from X-2 but I suppose that one is a bit revealing.

For some reason, I find it really tough to decide. XD;

Hmmm... you could try Kokoro's kimono outfit from Dead or Alive, and adjust the design to take the slit out if you're against showing that much leg... bah.

Other than that, there's always Rinoa or AC Tifa.

((EDIT: I agree with above, you could probably pull off pretty much any final fantasy girl. 8D))

Thank you! I was like a freaking celebrity in that cosplay at AX... XD My G Buckle and bracelets completely deteriorated and fell to pieces after dancing at the gathering/the flight home, though (they were made out of paper mache, lulz), so I was considering retiring the cosplay... but people keep talking about it... >_> And it is pretty close to my heart. Soooo I might just post a wanted thread here on the Marketplace and see if I can't get some new ones made at a reasonable price.

... ANYWAY. I've been seriously considering doing a Rangiku cosplay for quite some time, actually. I'm just a leeetle hesitant because of the lechery that may occur do to the cleavage... I'll probably end up doing it eventually, after I've gained enough self-confidence to kick those lecher's asses. I also don't really know when I'm going to go back to blonde hair (and I'd really rather not wear a wig for her -- for some reason, Rangikus with wigs always look hella cheap to me), so until those few factors align, I'll put it on hold.

Yuuko is certainly an interesting option, though. I just recently started reading the xxxHolic manga. Is any outfit of hers particularly well known? Or at least, known enough to be recognized?

Her Time-Space Witch (or Dimension Witch) outfit is the only outfit that I've seen her wear multiple times in the manga, though in the anime there's a red kimono similar to her first chapter outfit that she seems to favor quite a bit. But then again, if cleavage is an issue, she has a few outfits that don't require boob-baring, or that can be modified for modesty issues.

As for Gambino, I'd say yes to reviving it. He just has that habit of coming back over and over again. 8D
