Vasa1886, we don't really need to know how you found your commissioner, but it would be great if you could link to their website ^^ Thanks much.
And we're updated!

Name of Commissioner: T.Narcheska
Website/C.com gallery: http://www.cosplay.com/costumes/m38620/
Character commissioned and series/video game (please include if this was the entire costume, just a jacket, prop, accessory, wig, etc.): Turks Uniform from Final Fantasy VII
Links to picture(s) of your commissioned item: http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y24...e/DSC02215.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y24...e/DSC02216.jpg
Timeline (how long your order took to process): Around a month or so from the order being placed.
Pros: She was more than helpful when dealing with my order as well as answering any questions that I had. That, plus she enclosed a little "Thank You" postcard in the package which really made me feel appreciated as a customer!
Cons: The only con was in the package being delayed by a day but that was more ParcelForce's fault due to their incompetence in not having the courtesy to post a postcard to my door saying that the package had arrived (in any case, they have a obscenely bad reputation here in the UK for poor customer service as well as losing parcels!)
Comments: Overall, I was more than happy with the uniform that I received from her and I look forward to wearing it at the MCM Expo this weekend! In fact, I'm definitely looking forward to ordering some more comissions from her next year including a Blues Brothers type suit for a Nerima Daikon Brothers cosplay as well as possibly a Silver Guardians/City Guardians uniform for a Eric Myers/Naoto cosplay (aka Quantum Ranger/TimeFire from Power Rangers Time Force/TimeRanger).
Final Grade: A+

Name of Commissioner: Sakura Wigs: Custom Cosplay Wigs

Website/C.com gallery: http://sakurawigs.com/

Character commissioned and series/video game: I commissioned a Twlight Princess Link wig from them.

Ref pics I sent them:

Links to picture(s) of your commissioned item:
This is right out of the box with no styling done to it at all. The wig is not shiny--my flash messed it up.

Timeline: It took about a month (ordered it in September) as it was a custom wig--they had to actually start from scratch from it. So a month is not that bad for a custom.

Describe your Experience. Pros, Cons, Comments:

When I ordered it, I put in my request for a Link wig, sent them ref pics and heard back within 24 hours. Communication was a little slow, but this was their busy month (because of Halloween), and they were always quick to apologize for the length of time waiting between e-mails. And it was never over three days wait.

They followed my specifications perfectly, and I am rather pleased with the product. For the money, it was well worth spent, and I would go back to them again if I need another wig.

It was packaged well, though I didn't realize it was from Canada, and that might have been the reason for the day-late delivery. The wig is very soft, and very high quality.

Final Grade: A+ Will Go Back

Sorry in advance for such a long post! I've got 3 ^ ^;

Name of Commissioner: Southern Moon Creations
Website/C.com gallery: http://www.freewebs.com/southernmooncreations/index.htm
Character commissioned: Sailor Saturn (Accessories)
Links to picture(s) of your commissioned item: http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r...lay/Brooch.jpg (original Saturn Brooch), http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r...cessories2.jpg (earrings, wand), http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r...TiaraHeart.jpg (tiara, brooch 2)
Timeline: 2 months (see cons/comments)
Pros: Good communication, good prices.
Cons: Quality of the product leaves a little to be desired. Her earrings are simply BEAUTIFUL, but I know from past experiences that her brooches are not secured properly, and I had to use super glue every night of the con I was attending to reattach it to the brooch. Her tiara came with a stretchy plastic ties, that refuse to stay tied to each other. Also, when I received the box, the Henshin wand had broken during shipping in two places, and needed to be repaired.
Comments: When I first commissioned her (in August) I received no communication from her until October, when I emailed her and asked her where my order was. She said that if I hadnít received it, that it had probably gotten lost in the mail. She sent me a new package, with the Heart Brooch and second pair of earring free of charge for the mishap.
Final Grade: B

Name of Merchant: superchinaseller
Website: http://stores.ebay.com/superchinaseller
Item purchased: Sailor Saturn Original Costume
Links to picture(s) of your received item: http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r...lay/Gloves.jpg (gloves), http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r...ay/Costume.jpg (costume)
Timeline: 3 weeks. It took 1 week for the payment to clear, and then I received the item 2 weeks after that.
Pros: Fast response, good communication, fast shipping, costume in great condition.
Cons: The wings were a bit too big for my taste, and the gloves were to short so I had to redo them.
Comments: I would definitely commission them again.
Final Grade: A+

Name of Commissioner: Mallory R. Evans/Moon Prism
Website/C.com gallery: http://moonprism.com/index.html
Character commissioned: Saturnís Glaive (prop)
Links to picture(s) of your commissioned item: http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r...y/glave051.jpg (tip of glaive), http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r...y/glave043.jpg (connecting part of glaive/staff), http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r...y/glave046.jpg (bottom flare), http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r...y/glave047.jpg (bottom flare 2)
Timeline: Around 1 month (to receive original)
Pros: Good Communication, friendly
Cons: Arrived broken in mail, too tall, too unstable, bottom looks like it was put together halfheartedly, chipped, no return policy, see comments.
Comments: When I first commissioned Mallory, she was very friendly and seemed to honestly want to get me my item in time for my convention. Nearly 3 weeks later, when I opened my package, I was extremely disappointed to find that the item had been damaged in the mail (the top had been chipped, and the grout had been busted off), and that the parts that were not damaged in the mail had been poorly made. Also, when I looked on the website, the glaive that was shown was connected by a screw, while this one was being connected by a small plastic piece. When I communicated her about the damage, she said no problem, she would begin making me a new glaive, and for me to go to the post office to collect the insurance money. As for the stability issue, she said that it was stable enough when she first sent it, and that she was sorry but there was nothing she could do. Well when I went to the post office they told me 1) I needed a bunch of insurance papers filled out, and 2) That she would have to make the claim. Long story short, she ended up going back and forth with HER post office, and finally filled out the insurance, but she checked that the money would go to her. I was extremely upset because even before the post office had broken the glaive, it was EXTREMELY unstable, and the bottom part was coming apart (in the pictures you can see the bottom flare is COMPLETELY uneven, and thereís even a picture where you can see the unpainted wood at the bottom from the flare coming undone) and the glaive itself was to small, while the staff was way to long. I talked to her, asking her if I could send her the old glaive in exchange for a new one (since I couldnít use it even if the post office hadnít broken it), and she told me that I legally had no claim to have a new fixed glaive AND the money, even after I offered to pay for both shipping the original glaive to her, and shipping on the second glaive to me. I asked her about her return policy and she said she ďhas a return policy, so long as itís reasonableĒ, but itís not posted anywhere on her website. So in the end I had to keep the messed up glaive, and I didnít get the insurance money either, because if I went to the post office and filed the forms, the money would have went to her, and it would have taken way to long to redo the claim to give me the money.
Final Grade: D. She is an excellent person to talk to, but she is a bad businesswomen. Michigan Law (which covers internet purchases) states that you may return or exchange an item within the first 30 days of the purchase. She refused to acknowledge this, telling me I was trying performing an act of insurance fraud. I would not recommend commissioning her for large items, stick to her tiaras and other small cosplay props.
Planned Cosplays:

Character commissioned and series/video game: Lightning gunblade - Final Fantasy XIII
Links to picture(s) of your commissioned item: http://s211.photobucket.com/albums/b...tningsword.jpg
Timeline (how long your order took to process): Deadline was set in Janurary 2009. Started in August 2008, received today October 22, 2008
Describe your Experience. Pros, Cons, Comments: This was my first time commissioning a larger prop after being screwed over by a different commissioner. I received progress pictures on a regular basis. Any question I had was answered almost immediately. Beyond friendly commissioner. Construction was very sturdy, but lightweight. Would reccommend to anyone.

Name of Merchant: Wig fashion
Item purchased (please include quantity): 1 Short Straight Dark Brown Hair Wig
Links to picture(s) of your received item:
Timeline (how long your order took to process): I think it took a week in total for everything.
Describe your Experience. Pros, Cons, Comments: This is a very nice quality wig, the price was right and THE SHIPPING WAS FREE! (yay!). For a China seller, the shipping was very fast. I would definitely order from them again. I can't stop petting my wig. It's so soft!

Character commissioned and series/video game (please include if this was the entire costume, just a jacket, prop, accessory, wig, etc.): Miles Edgeworth from Phoenix Wright
Links to picture(s) of your commissioned item: Don't have pictures right now.
Timeline (how long your order took to process): About two weeks.
Pros: My boyfriend ordered from them the Miles Edgeworth cosplay. Communication is great. Just the day after the order, the sent an email giving shipping options (he bought a pre made one). Really fast shipping.

Cons: They made a mistake while shipping the outfit. Instead of shipping it to Puerto Rico, they shipped it to Alaska. O.o; Although, he notified them of their mistake, and they quickly fixed it.

Final Grade: A- is not a plus cuz they shipped it to Alaska >>

Item: Long white wig w/ bangs

Time line: 8 days

Pictures of Item: http://www.cosplay.com/costume/183010/

Pros: Very soft!! It was very long, and stayed straight even out of the packaging. The mesh didn't show that much despite being a white wig. The mesh was very nice in the back!! Also, it shipped very quickly.

Cons: A bit staticky, but that was to be expected. Also, the mesh did show a bit, but it was white.

Grade: A+

Character Prop Commissioned: Seras Victoria's Harkonnen
Links to picture(s) of your commissioned item: Coming Soon!
Timeline: Between July 8th and September

Granted, I had plenty of time between the time I commissioned the gun and the time I needed it, so time wasn't really an issue. Pricing was reasonable, especially considering shipping costs. The gun itself was very well-made, and looked fantastic. Made to my specs in height, and easy to take apart for travel. Best of all, it really helps me with an example for constructing my own Harkonnen, which I'll eventually be making! All-in-all, I definitely recommend!
