I think they're quite adorable. How short do you want your partner to be? I have short friends (I might be too tall :[ ) that might want to do it.

I'm about 5 feet flat, maybe 5'1. Popo and nana are about the same high, I don't think it would be bad if popo was a little taller, but it would look awkward if popo was really really tall, cause he's supposed to be small and cute =)

Ah...well..I'm 5'4'' on a good day. XD That would be a little awkward. I have tiny friends, I'm sure they'd want to be an ice climber.

I'm gonna be Gir (if the costume gets finished). So far all I've done is a drawing to figure out how I'm gonna pull off his ridiculous proportions, (http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f1...gir_design.jpg) but I'm too nervous to cut fabric lol

Are you worried you'll mess up? Maybe you should make a mock-up first, using cheaper fabrics. I myself take forever to start cutting fabric. And then I take twice as long to actually start sewing. -__-

Yeah it's not the fabric so much as the structure under the fabric. I don't even know where to start lol.

Ahh, I see. Well, I'm sure someone on this site will be able to help you. There are quite a few people who create things like that. Big...animal-ish costumes. XD

I posted about it a couple months ago and it got very little response. I looked around on how to make fursuits and a lot of them are just foam heads, which doesn't work for Gir's head, I'll have to make him out of something else =/
