Name of Commissioner: Lizzy, aka dizzylizzy
Website/C.com gallery: http://lizzy.agentsofcosplay.com Character commissioned: Garnet from FF9, wig. Links to picture(s) of your commissioned item: [ x ] [ x ] [ x ] Timeline: I contacted Lizzy in September of 2008, right in the first weekend. Her commissions were closed until November, but I was collecting quotes and did not intend to order until then anyway. I placed the order on November 4th, and received the wig on March 3, 2009. I'd asked to receive the wig by March 21st. Pros: VERY thick wig. The hair piece is easy to care for and attach. She included written instructions on how to use and care for each part of the wig. Also wrote on the wig head where to put the pins to hold the wig on! :P It was packaged fabulously, with plenty of room and security. Cons: Comments: When I asked for something slightly different upon completion of the wig, she did exactly what I'd asked for. She informed me when the place she ordered the wig from hadn't sent the wefts because they were out of stock and also kept me up to date when they came in. She took every one of my preferences and little fiddly obsessive aspects and created an absolutely gorgeous wig with every aspect I asked for. She was a pleasure to communicate with and answered any question I had. Final Grade: A+

AmAZING!
Name of Commissioner: Sylvia Chow
Website: etsy.com ((http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=6324641)) Character commissioned : Izuna Unemployed Ninja and Micaiah Fire Emblem ( BOTH FULL COSTUMES) Links to picture(s) of your commissioned item: Not up yet... will have them up soon ![]() Timeline (how long your order took to process): It took a few months because I paid in installments.... Final Grade: A+++++++++ Pros: Sylvia signed a commission contract at the beginning because I had been burned in the past. She was completely open to it!! The costumes came in my tailored sizes, she sent pictures every few weeks and was always cheerful and replied fast!!!! Cons: The rubber banding for my fishnet shirt is a bit too tight... but other than that... Everything else is amazing!!!! I would definitely commission her again!!!!!! Plus we agreed on a cost that was okay with my budget and didn't compromise the costume quality! |

Name of Merchant: Wigfashon (ebay store)
Website: http://stores.shop.ebay.com/Wig-Fashion__W0QQ_armrsZ1 Item purchased: Light purple 19" wig M31 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=280316598390 Links to picture(s) of your received item: http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2.../purplewig.jpg (will update with more pics when costume is done) Timeline:1.5 weeks Describe your Experience: Wig was exact same as photo. No see-through parts in wig, wefts cover them all. Fiber quality was a nice thick Kanekalon. The wig itself was just thick enough to cover the see through parts, with small skin top. I would not recommend a lot of styling on their wigs. I am very pleased with the wig, and it is very hard to tangle as compared to thin strand kanekalon of sepia wigs. Although the wig was not thick, it was not shown as thick in the photo either. But it looks really nice as thin! I cannot complain for the price <3 Seller responds to questions very fast. Shipping right on time. Final Grade: A

Name of Commissioner cosplayying
Website/C.com gallery http://stores.ebay.ca/Cosplayying Character commissioned and series/video game Lenalee Lee Uniform 3 // D.Gray-Man Links to picture(s) of your commissioned item http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y39...i/DSC07117.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y39...i/DSC07119.jpg Timeline (how long your order took to process) Feb 27/09 to March 17/09 Describe your Experience. Pros: The item is just as pictured for the auction, and the custom made for my size fits just right! Nothing is too big or too small. It surprises me how accurately it fits to be honest o__o; They also included extra buttons for the jacket, as well as the gold chain that Lenalee has which was a plus since I don't have to worry about matching the buttons if one falls off, or making my own chain. They ship quite fast, and responded the same day to my questions. Cons Mmm I guess the only con I would have is one of the buttons did fall off... but that's easily fixable. Not much else to complain about. Comments. Overall I'm quite happy with the costume and would go to them again. Nothing really to complain about that I can't easily fix myself. Final Grade: A I'm also not sure whether this would fall under Merchant or Commissioner, but I'll be more than happy to change the first part if it does fall under Merchant =) Just let me know.

Name of Commissioner: Alina - cosplay.com user Magnavox
Website/C.com gallery: http://www.cosplay.com/member/14692/ Character commissioned and series/video game: Fuu from Samurai Champloo, innner white kimono and outer perdy kimono, plus obi and bow! :3 ( Reference: http://pics.livejournal.com/xblue_eu...x/pic/003wqe5c ) Links to picture(s) of your commissioned item: http://www.cosplay.com/costume/210857/ http://pics.livejournal.com/xblue_eu...x/pic/003y3t6s http://pics.livejournal.com/xblue_eu...x/pic/003y4ca3 http://pics.livejournal.com/xblue_eu...x/pic/003y597r http://pics.livejournal.com/xblue_eu...x/pic/003y66pk http://pics.livejournal.com/xblue_eu...x/pic/003y74y4 Timeline: About two to two and a half months, depending on what you include. I sent her the first half of the money (per her payment policy - materials first, the rest when the costume's finished) on January 13th. As of yesterday (March 18th) she has finished the costume and will be shipping it ASAP via first class mail. I don't usually write reviews before I receive the item but I already know what I get will be fabulous! My deadline was April 9th. Oh and it should probably be noted that she was really sick the first couple of weeks so she couldn't actually get started until late January. Describe your Experience. Pros: Alina was so wonderful to work with! When she first contacted me after I posted my "commissions wanted" ad in the marketplace I was actually a little suspicious about how low her price was (everyone else was asking for at least $50 more than she was) but after some careful thinking and discussing how Alina planned to make the cosplay I decided she just had a really excellent value. And boy was I right! From the get-go Alina was very communicative about material costs, her processes for making the costume and more. Whenever I had a question she was there with an answer as soon as she could get to me. To give an example of how communicative she was, throughout our correspondence we have sent 27 emails to each other - 14 from me to her, 13 from her to me! She sent me two progress pictures along the way, and the icing on the cake was when she sent me the pictures of the finished product yesterday. I absolutely LOVE it! The texture on the bow just makes it so perfect... I love the colors she used, and her lines are so crisp. I am so excited to wear this! And considering the really wonderful price tag, I am so satisfied with Alina's work! I haven't received the costume yet since she just finished it yesterday, but I will be sure to update with my thoughts on the tangible aspect as soon as I get it! :3 Cons: The only thing about this transaction that was even a smidgeon unsettling was that Alina said in the middle of February that she'd be done by the end of the month. That said, one of the pieces of the kimono got stained by dye remover during her process so she had to start all over in reworking that piece, which took quite some time. Plus I think she might have put a little extra work into the bow since I mentioned something about it needing to be accurate-ish. Considering she still finished the costume well within the time limit this is not much of a con. :3 Final Grade: A+! EDIT: I got the costume today and I must say it is exactly as wonderful as I expected! :3 The cloth is nice and heavy and the under kimono is super comfy. I've gained a little bit of weight since I gave Alina my measurements so it's a LITTLE bit tight, but it still fits well. x3 Yay!! Last edited by Jasette : 04-01-2009 at 02:15 PM. |

^ Okay : ) Thanks for clarifying.
Name of Commissioner carinachong // KIDS-Charissa Website/C.com gallery http://stores.shop.ebay.ca/KIDS-Charissa__W0QQ_armrsZ1 Character commissioned and series/video game: (2wigs) Euphemia Li Britannia [Code Geass] & Lenalee Lee [D.gray-Man] (short hair version) Links to picture(s) of your commissioned item Lenalee: http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y39/shimataki/redo.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y39...i/DSC07196.jpg Euphemia: http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y39...i/DSC07244.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y39...i/DSC07205.jpg Timeline : Contact started February 24, 2009, Items arrived March 19, 2009 Describe your Experience. Pros: The wigs are very well made o_o and I was expecting the Euphemia wig to be a lot steeper in price than it was. The seller said it would take about a month for the wigs to reach me, 2 weeks to make and 2 weeks to reach me. But it came in less than a month =) She responded very fast quite often in the same day despite time differences, and when I asked for the Lenalee wig to be black instead of this other color she showed me a sample of how it would look, the wig looks just like the sample . She also has pictures of her wearing some of the wigs so that you know how it would fit on a person. The wigs smell nice too, and don't tangle easily.Cons: I have no cons with the wigs themselves, however packaging wise...the only thing to prevent the envelope from opening was a string [she used one of those envelopes that has a string that wraps around 2 circular tabs]...but luckily it got to me safely without anyone opening it I hope. Comments: Overall I'm very happy with the wigs =) and shes really friendly with her responses and if you message her asking for updates she's more than happy to reply. She never once left me hanging for more than a day for a response. I highly recommend her however make sure the wig you want is still in stock before buying, [she mentions this in her shop as well] since she might not have the wig in stock anymore. Final Grade: A+

Has anyone ever worked with cosplaycommish as well as SunnyJulietHuit and cuddles116? Huit doesn't seem to have any reviews and her prices don't seem bad so it makes me questionable.
Here are their links: http://www.cosplay.com/marketplace/s...ct/7727/cat/20 ~huit http://www.cosplay.com/marketplace/m...7461&protype=9 ~cuddles http://www.cosplay.com/marketplace/s...ct/9442/cat/16 ~commish Also, if anyone could PM me with some good wig people that don't charge too much that'd be great! Thanks. I have tried most of the people with good reviews in this thread but they are booked. =/ |

Who run http://laughingreaper.com/default.aspx I ordered:
Totaling $185 USD I've constantly sent emails and have gotten responses but i keep getting excuses or they say it will be looked into. I don't want to go to court for this but Rebekah "Baskat" Hahn & Christopher "GothX" Sprague I either want a refund or the commission as requested over THREE YEARS AGO when it was late the first time due to time constraints. OR send me the items I commisioned and PAID IN FULL for you to work on. I fulfilled my end of the deal and so far you have not honored my word and trust in you. If anyone knows them personally please let them know of this thread. As obviously sending emails back and forth has not gotten anything done. I will be more then happy to talk over the phone to get this done as I'm not driving to the state they live in to waste my time to get this resolved. As either their word is not their bond or i'm a fool for even thinking of asking them to do it for me. ![]()
