Looking for plus size lolita dress
Unfortunately, my asian genes did not grant me your stereotypical stick thin body. I'm looking for places that sell lolita dresses for a big girl like me, which are very hard to find. I wear a size 18-20, so I'm an XXL. I rather not go with ebay, since I've had some bad experiences there.
Thank you. |

Yikes. I would not recommend that website. NONE of it is lolita at all.
Have you tried Bodyline? They have a plus size line called "queen size". In the Starlight also does larger sizes.

Sweet Rococo does custom sizes, but I've never ordered from them, so I can't really give a review. You sign up, put in your measurements, and either design a dress or pick one that's already been designed and they make it for you.

I do custom dresses and specialize in plus sizes. I don't have many reviews as of yet, but I'm trying to establish a name for myself. If you're interested, I'll give you a pretty sweet deal on a dress or skirt. Please email me at aerospydie at yahoo dot com if you would like to see some of my work. I work fast and after payment, I usually have things done within a week as long as none of the materials need to be ordered.

Fan+Friend,Anna House, Sweet Rococo* and In the Starilight all have plus sized clothing.
* Sweet Rococo does have some plus sizes (to what extent I have no idea), however some girls have been turned away as the seamstress does not have any patterns that match the girls' measurements. You might want to check out egl_plus since they have plenty of sales post that contain items that fit plus sized lolitas.

Some brand stuff that's super frickin shirred all to hell might fit(I'm in the same boat as you my friend!). In the Starlight is good and I've heard good things about Sweet Roccoco though have never done business with them personally. Check out the egl livejournal community sales since some +size stuff does show up along with some seamstresses willing to make dresses custom to your size!

Is it just me or do the sizes on fan+friend run REALLY small? According to their size chart I'd have to get a size 22 to accomodate my 44' bust, and I normally wear a size 14 or 16 dress. That's so weird.

Their site is down. But from what I saw on their myspace, I'd say that they need to perfect their pieces more. The "lolita" dress featured doesn't have the right shape, though the material and craftsmanship seems to be good.

Overall, I think they have great potential, and if their prices are comparable to In The Starlight when they do open, I think they can get a lot of business if they advertise well. |

If you go to there myspace the owners page is up there. Her name is Penny-American Mom you should talk to her about it. I believe her dress go from $50-150. Her skirts are that price as well. Her blouses are $20-35. The necklaces, jewelry, and headdresses are $15-40. I belive those are her prices but you should add her and talk to her about it. |

I would recommend you go to InTheStarlight.com. They don't have much, but they have sme pretty awesome clothes and accesories. And they will even custom make a petticoat for you, if you pay for it.
