Timeline- I asked for a price and how long it would take to make it. I was answered with in 24 hours. I was told it was going to take about two weeks. After I made the payment. I had it with in I believe nine days. It was incredible.
Describe your Experience. Pros, Cons, Comments-My costume was medicore. My wig wasn't great. But my Keyblade got so many wonderful comments. It was nice and decently light weight. The detail was amazing. I have only used it at Nekocon 2008. I plan on bring it to Otakon 2009. I didn't get any really good pictures of me with the keyblade. It was either turned the wrong way or I was in the picture with someone else and they were blocked it.
I was around a group of other Kingdom Hearts characters. I had another Sora cosplayer Beg me to be able to hold the keyblade.
Final Grade:Amazing Detail. Craftsmanship was impeccable. It was sent in a wonderfully quick fashion.
A++ 100 percent.

Character commissioned and series/video game (please include if this was the entire costume, just a jacket, prop, accessory, wig, etc.) Whole costume, Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi; Haruhi + Kyon school uniforms
Links to picture(s) of your commissioned item: http://smilingsootball.deviantart.co...i-III-86471234 I dont have a photo of the Kyon, but it was just as nice
Timeline (how long your order took to process): 1.5 months from contact and payment to delivery
Describe your Experience. Pros, Cons, Comments.
Pros- S/he owns a embroydery machine. Therefore things like logos are very professionally done. Everything is very well tailored. Quite accurate to design. Also the price is good and they are willing to meet reasonable budget. They are my main cosplay costume commishioner, and I have tried many. I am usually very happy with their work.
Cons- The Kyon jacket was a little off the ref. colour. Also, from past experience they make outfits for girls better fit than men. Also, I tend to give a little larger measurements than actua l size, which gives me a perfect fit so they may have a tendency to sew things a little small.
Comments: I would really reccomend this commishioner, even with my first negative experience with them a few years back I have commishioned 4 more outfits after that and all have been very good. Their construction and patterns are nice, and well fitting. They definately know how to sew professionally.
Final Grade: A

Character commissioned and series/video game (please include if this was the entire costume, just a jacket, prop, accessory, wig, etc.): Two costumes - one Riza Hawkeye, one Roy Mustang, both from Fullmetal Alchemist. They were the full military uniforms, minus the boots, undershirts, wig and Black Hayate. ^__^
Links to picture(s) of your commissioned item: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pi...8&id=904810566
Timeline (how long your order took to process): Oh, goodness, not that long...about a month and a half to two months? It didn't seem like that long, anyway.
Describe your Experience. Pros, Cons, Comments: Mandy was a very nice person to work with. Her communication was good, but in my opinion it lagged a little. Of course, that could just be due to the fact that I was a little paranoid about being scammed. Her prices were pretty reasonable, but just a tad on the expensive side (something like $280 for both costumes), but the materials were high-quality. She especially did a great job with the detailing on the costumes as far as the military bars and stars - she even sent two pairs of Mustang's gloves, which I thought was neat since I didn't assume we were getting them.
The only problem I had was with the pants and "skirt" for both costumes - they were both far too big and I had to resize all of them before the convention. I don't know whether the problem was with my measurements or with her sewing, but either way, thankfully I know my way around a sewing machine for the most part. Otherwise, they looked great and we got a ton of compliments.
Final Grade: I would say a B, or if I can't just say a straight B, then probably a B-. If I need another commission at some point, I will probably work with her again, but resizing the pants and skirts was kind of a pain.

Character commissioned and series/video game (please include if this was the entire costume, just a jacket, prop, accessory, wig, etc.): Hungary and Prussia from Hetalia. We commissioned Hungary's hat and jacket and Prussia's jacket, black button-up shirt, and tie.
Links to picture(s) of your commissioned item: http://i44.tinypic.com/29zti0.jpg and http://i42.tinypic.com/w2nfwn.jpg
Timeline (how long your order took to process): We started e-mails in mid-January and received the cosplays in the beginning of April, so about 2.5 months. Part of the reason was because we needed some time to save up money.
Describe your Experience. Pros, Cons, Comments.: Her e-mails are very nice and show that she is very caring to getting the commissioner what they want. We thought the prices were a bit high, but when we saw pictures of her past cosplays, we knew we'd be getting a high quality costume done. We decided to save up the extra bucks and we're very happy we did. The quality of the fabrics is very good and the final outcomes look really beautiful. *_* The only issue is that we aren't used to measuring properly and probably could have used an extra inch on the sleeves. We are definitely considering commissioning her again in the future and reccommend her to others.

Character commissioned: Kagamine Len - Vocaloid 2
Links to picture(s): [see most actual pic from my vocaloid gallery]
Timeline: 1-2 Months, includingdiscussion about order details, fabrics etc.
Describe your Experience:
Pros: By far the most professional commissioner I've ordered from so far. We discussed everything regarding the cosplay - especially the fabrics and how I want it to look like in the end.
So far, this kind of contact was really a good contrast to most of what I've experienced so far with chinese, american or other commission services - in a good way.
It was not only friendly and answered quickly, but also the final product turned out to become just how I wanted it to be. (and I had quite some expectations from it)
I even consider the quality being better than what I got from limebarb back then - and I considered this cos (Richie from Pokemon) being from very very good quality already.
Also, the price was absolutely reasonable for what I got in the end!
You could notice, that she really put a lot of effort not only into the product itself, but also the realtionship to me a s a customer. I liked that alot.
Cons:
Well...I actually can't tell any oO Of course it's not as cheap as HongKong trash, but I never expected it to be like that, so I'm ordering from her again right now.
Comments:
Actually, I'm really glad I finally found a perfect commissioner from Germany, which is reliable and even has a reasonable price. For my part, I can absolutely recommend her and hope I can keep on counting on her as my commissioner of choice until I can't cosplay anymore XDD

Timeline (how long your order took to process): hmm like a month? definitely on time.
Describe your Experience. Pros, Cons, Comments:
Pros: Mandy was very nice and helpful. She knew exactly what she needed, I filled out a form with my measurements and she kept communication with me the whole time, sending my pics of her progress to soothe my paranoia.
Cons: was more expensive than I would've liked but considering all the fabric and time, I think I got a good deal on a custom made thing.
Final Grade: A. I got a lot of compliments at NYC comic con and a lot of people took pictures with me as well.

Describe your Experience: I am not sure what is going on but when I ordered this item it was a very good transaction. She sent me pictures and gave me an update every week. Her prices are good and when she ships its fast. I ordered just the pink bike (I made the elephant and mouse). I will say I was very pleased with this order. Because of so I ordered another item...and that one isn't going well....
Final Grade: A for this order but I recently ordered another item and right now its a C grade...

Item Purchases: Morrigan Costume
Link to costume: http://www.acparadise.com/acp/display.php?c=20073 (I dont have the coomplete outfit but here is the leggings and wings!)
Timeline: 6 months
Describe your Experience:
Pros: I ordered from them because I live less than an hour away from them. They make amazing costume with amazing quality. This is as professional as you can get. The costume looks great.
Cons: The price is a bit steep. You have to be willing to spend at least 300.00 on these outfits. The worst thing is probably the communication and the process. They barely answer their emails and if you look them up on google (which I did after i bought this) there are a lot of bad reviews. They promised they would finish in 4 months but at the last minute they said they needed more time. I gave it to them but I really didn't like it. If you buy from them expect to wait 6 months and spend lots of money.
Final grade: C

Name of Merchant -- human_go
Website: http://stores.ebay.com/human-go-cosp...34551QQfrsrcZ1
Item Purchases: Gino Weinburg
Link to costume: (Will post when I get camera).
Timeline: 1&1/2 months roughly
Describe your Experience: Well I had previously purchased a lovely Vampire Knight uniform from them and thought I'd order again with similar results...wrong. I ordered a Gino cosplay from Code Geass in early November. I did not receive it because it was not registered with the shipping company and got lost, even though I paid for shipping insurance. I contacted them in December and they remade the costume but took another 6 months to remake it. When it finally arrived, the gloves were not included, the pants were 2 sizes too small. (I have given them my measurements before and the first time they fit perfectly). The gold trim was starting to fray on the white jacket, the black shirt included was too short in the sleeves, and their were supposed to be gold buttons with drooping length of chain across the front of the white jacket but they were plastic buttons and bits of frayed ribbon right crappily together. The cape is the most disappointing...it was supposed to flow to the floor but only comes slightly past my knees, it also has very poorly shown square shoulders that do not fit my shoulders and just stick up. The cape is supposed to be slightly square but it must rest of the shoulders and not pop up like this one does. Overall, I am very dissappointed after I paid a good price for it and waited for 7 months to have them remake it, when they forgot to register it with the post office. I don't reccomend them for anything detailed.
Pros: None, other than actually receiving the incomplete, shoddy cosplay 7 months later...
Final grade: D

Only picture I have at the moment~
http://i432.photobucket.com/albums/q...n/SDC10988.jpg
Timeline (how long your order took to process)
After I ordered it, It took around 5 days to make and then a further 2 days to arrive (Sent through FedEx to the UK from China) So 1 week exactly! ^_^
Pros
Excellent communication~ they replied to all of my messages quickly and answered all my questions. I recieved it after only ordering a week before so excellent shipping also ^_^ Even though it was FedEX, ems would probably have only been a few more days~ Great quality for what I payed also ^_^ and fits me perfectly~ Good Price too xD
Cons
The only things I found wrong with the costume was that there aren't any pockets on the front of the skirt but to be totally honest that doesn't bother me~ If however you wanted it 100% accurate this could cause a problem but its fine with me ^^
The white shirt is slightly big on me also but can easily be taken in~
Comments
As a first time buyer from CostumeFamily.com I am extremly happy with this cosplay! It cost me around £60 altogether including P+P which I think is a very good price considering both quality and accuracy~ Its not 100% accurate as theres no pockets on the skirt but that as I have already said isn't a problem for me ^_^ They were quick to reply to all of my messages also and very friendly, answering any questions I had. And it only took a week to get to me which I personally think is amazing! I will deffinetly consider them for future commissions ^_^
