My First Costume-Con. Boom, baby!
I want to thank everyone for an amazing time at my first Costume-con and for making me feel part of a new, wonderful family.
If that wasn't your intention, then consider me the annoying ex-brother-in-law who keeps crashing family gatherings uninvited to constantly rant about new upgrades to his lawnmower. 'Cause I'm totally coming back. Not sure when, but I am. Hello to all the great friends I re-connected with, and salutations to all the new, awesomely talented acquaintances I made. I'm hoping I'll be able to track down most of you (through degrees of separation of mutual acquaintances, hopefully). For one thing, anyone reading this who's friends with Leia the Leprechaun from Saturday night and her entourage, please transmit my best wishes to them. ...and sorry for being an Alien who demanded a lot of attention in the Green Room.

JF - you were such an awesome King, Alien, and English dude. Really enjoyed meeting you and the rest of the Canadians ^.^
Met a lot of super awesome people (The Hag, Sarcasm-hime, Morgan from Historical Masque, JF, Ian, etc) and got to see some old friends, including Marty and Ricky ^.^ Tons of beautiful costumes - you guys made me feel so underdressed for the occasion.

It was my first costume-con as well and I was floored by the outfits everyone had. I'll be sure to enter more things next time, but I really just wanted to get a feel for how things are done. I met a bunch of great people, and found out how small of a world it really is. I guess I should finish up the website for cc29 soon so you'll all plan on coming back up this way.

Thanks to you both! Looks like we shared a very positive first-time experience. Us, and many other Baltimore/DC-area opportunists like us! I don't know about you guys but I plan on traveling to future CCs whenever possible! I was never really interested into original designs, but after CC, I think I now have the bug. I already have ideas for the future folio and historical masquerade I can't wait to put in effect.

It just occurred to me that I actually interviewed Sarcasm-hime for my blog a few months ago and didn't even recognize it was her at the con, and I also took a picture of Fire Lily at CC27 (and she was nominated for my blog's Hottest Cosplayer contest). I didn't even know I was taking picture of you all! What a small world!

Well, it just confirms that I need to go to Quebec one of these days to see the French Canadian contingent. You all rocked!
I met a bunch of people over the weekend, and holy crap, do I have work to do. (Not sure if I'm gonna go to Milwaukee, but will definitely will be in Jersey in '11) I hate you all! You have me hooked! |

It was my first Costume-Con as well.
And I believe everyone here recognizes me as the Pip Bernadette wandering around on Saturday. Pics will be up by the end of this week.

This was my first Costume Con too, and I had a great time! I didn't actually meet anyone from this site, except for one person whose name I forgot, but I did see a lot of people I recognized.
By the way, congrats to the Canadians, you guys kicked major butt!

Costume Con was amazing. I loved seeing all the different, incredible costumes. It was great to meet some of you, and I would have liked to have talked with more of you. It was great to see the cosplay community well represented, and to get such a positive response from everyone about cosplay. I'll be putting my pictures up either tonight or tomorrow.

Actually, you were right next to me in the Historic Masque Green room... You had the blue dress and red hair, and I was in the green dress and the top hat ^.^

Were you the one with the elaborate diamond shaped pattern on the back? I *loved* that pattern!
I was the one wearing the blue and magenta three tiered dress. |

. I was thinking of bringing Lucca, but my helmet needs some work and I didn't get around to it. It was so awesome to talk with you!
