That would bother anyone, hun. Don't let it bother you though. So many people out there forget that cosplay is about pretending to be someone you aren't a momentary escape from reality. ::eyeroll::

Though this reeks of "I need a self esteem booster", you're not fat. If there actually was a message saying that, it's probably someone who's pissed at you or your general internet troll.

This sounds about right;
There is no way you are fat.

*promises is not fishing*
It really just rubbed me the wrong way, and I needed to vent. So thank you to the cosplaying community.
Self esteem is fine...I just had a moment of serious costume doubt earlier...and needed reassurance.

These forums keep regularly coming up about someone getting a nasty message about their cosplay...
It was most certainly rude, but it seems more like fishing for compliments (not necessarily YOU but in general these type of forums) than anything.
Nor does it make someone 'jealous' if they see something wrong with a cosplay, it greatly rubs me wrong when people feel that self-important that someone must be jealous to dislike your costume.

Whoever sent you that message is laughing their ass off right now; I guarantee it was a troll, and that you have just demonstrated to that troll's delight how easy it is to prompt a public wibble-face reaction from you.
The next time this happens--because it will, because responding like this to a troll brings more trolls--know it for what it is, ignore it, and go do whatever you need to do to forget about it.

You know, I think that to get even, you should cosplay something REALLY sexy just to get even with the people who said that about you as Misa. You have the body for it, I say you cosplay a Repo nurse!

There's nothing to get even with; the OP might as well try to get even with a dog dropping she stepped in. Can't be done, and just ends up with more crap on you.
Quit fussing. Scrape your shoe, walk on.

Actually they were on another site, which I would NOT post on because of the chance of them seeing.
Secondly, posting my problem helped me quite a bit.

I think you miss my point. There are people on EVERY site who act like the one who messaged you, and a post like this is a beacon to them that they can get a reaction from you. A reaction that looks very insecure and needy, in this case, which is irritating to most people and prime bait for people who'd like to mess with you further.
Delete it and forget it. Now, that said, I think I've gone on long enough.

first off >_> Repo doesn't have nurses, they're called Genterns...and that would basically be like her dressing up like a slut who's hired to cut people.
secondly, and more on topic. You actually make a really good misa, not like those girls who just kinda...slap on something they bought from hottopic last minute and are like "TADA"
I really like it :3
@mango: I don't really see your point of continuously posting here to prove your point...it seems a bit redundant, even though you ARE correct. IF it WAS a troll :P

You make a great Misa, and your costume is really just perfect for you!! Don't listen to whoever sent you that message. They're just jealous or envy because she doesn't look good as you are. Don't mind her! You look so pretty and gorgeous with that costume.

If the girl clearly didn't get her point, then why would she NOT reiterate?

I agree with this, AT some point in cosplaying someone's going to have something negative to say. I don't think you should be posting this because next time someone says something, are you going to post another topic on another costume? Like said, everyone has something negative to say, so get over it and move on.
