Haha it's cool, I totally understand. The only question I'm really getting tired of answering a million times is either like "Where can I buy a pink dress?" or something equally broad, or "How do I make a petticoat?" because it gets asked like 8 times a week.

Awesome! Yeah, the old link list worked well while all the links were still good, but a lot of things have closed or moved.

Can I make a suggestion?

Add patterns that can be used. actual purchased patterns by Simplicity or Butterick or whoever.
While it's nice to have sites that have these easy to follow tutorials (I only got a chance to look at a few) but I like the A-line style one peice with an non gathered skirt and no shirred back. (this is considered a jumper-skirt right ?? ) Having a real pattern that just needs to be altered some is easier than drawing one from scratch 'properly' for me

but you'd have to add notes like the collars wrong, it needs to be longer or things like that so not to confuse us newbies. I swear I won't ask how to make a petti though XD

I can definitely add some of those. There aren't too many though, and most of them need quite a bit of alteration.

I know there aren't too many I spent hours looking in ALL the pattern books at my local fabric stores (and we only have two they pretty much know me by name and the fact I ask too many questions and buy a lot of lace at the one)

anyway! one dress XD oh theres more other stuff than I expected though thankies
I've actuly used Simplicitiys 5516 by making it shorter by almost half and adding straps, for the one I'm workng on. but the first one I got was McCalls 5748 but the whole top needed rework, but it does have a petti pattern

Simplicitiys oh that should be 5561 sorry O_. I thought was still in print unless they stoped printing it recently it's formal ware, that was actuly in a display book but I do think I looked that one up online. so it may have been listed as still in print but not pictured.

Yeah, there's a lot of great vintage patterns out there that are really useful for lolita, I just don't think I could keep track of them all D:

I can definitely see Simplicity 5561 working well as a base-pattern, I'll add it to the list!

I went to a vintage/retro thrift store recently and got a really great vintage pattern there, it was perfect for loli!! Those little funky antique/retro thrift stores can be your best friend!! It is often cheaper than buying online (I got a velvet pirate coat for 15 bucks!).

Edit: I would like this to be the new sticky! Also, there should be a link to the Lolita Handbook up there!!
