Slightly incorrect: It doesn't charge you on super small things. I always buy with a credit card with paypal, and it didn't charge me on my recent $9.50 payment. In fact, it didn't charge me when i sent my friend $20 from my credit card either. That was either from it being a small amount, or it being from my credit card to another paypal user. Regardless, i didn't get that paypal 4% or whatever.

Hmm.. I always wonder about this, actually. I recently had to send a payment to a friend in yen, so she could get something for me in Japan, and their fees based on international transactions are incredibly... vexing to figure out x.x; I always do transfers direct from my bank account and usually for ebay or merchants, so usually I don't have to bother with the fees- but it took me about an hour to figure out what/whether there would be a charge or not and what it would be.

Paypal really just goes out of their way to make their fees as confusing as possible, I think :/

Actually, I don't get charged any fees because I use my paypal, but it withdraws directly from my bank account. And I've sent money for 70-75 dollars before and it didn't charge any thing.

As in the title, im curious about a site called cosplayhouse.com wanted to know if anyone has bought something from them or not or if they are good to use.

I've scouted something on their site that would be useful for me but im not sure if I should buy it from them or not.

That's because you were the buyer/sender, not the seller/receiver.

From what I know, paypal charges 2-4% from the seller after the payment is issued. They usually factor that into the auction cost, or general price of the item.

The idea that we don't can be one of the more frustrating parts of doing business online. Everyone takes so many cuts from the seller that there's no way to unload most items without taking quite a deep loss. Ebay wants money, paypal wants money, the post office wants more money. While in our Walmart-world, especially during a recession, buyers want to pay less (and then rarely understand what it is they are paying for).

From paypal's website:

"Purchase payments received (monthly) Fee per transaction:
$0.00 USD - $3,000.00 USD 2.9% + $0.30 USD"

There are also cross-border fees (3.9% and a variety of other annoying charges)

They can be avoided by paying with your paypal balance or a paypal issued credit card.

I know, i know. But the person didn't get charged either, unless paypal lied. When you send money, it tells you the total price they're receiving too. I guess i didn't make it clear thats what i meant.

I scribbled over the names of the people. But yeah, it says no fee and it shows the total amount of money they received. And none of those payments were of my paypal balance: They were all from my credit card. So either my account is a freak of nature, or something is weird. Err... i think those both mean the same thing XD;;

And to clarify for sure: The $26 payment on there was for my girlfriend. And she got all $26 of it (she had used to buy something off eBay). So i know for sure that one there was no fee on either of our parts... and i had payed with a normal visa.

Sorry to ask, but is the ebay seller, 2aPlus2 good? They're pictures seem legit, all consistant. But the 100% positive feedback sends a yellow flag up. Anyone deal with them before?
