I didn't post for last weeks weigh in, so this week I have two. I'm kind of confused about my weight loss though.

Last week:
Start weight: 130.5lbs
Current weight: 130.5lbs
Goal weight: 113lbs

This week:
Start weight: 130.5lbs
Current weight: 128.5lbs
Goal weight: 113lbs

What confuses me is that the first week I ate completely vegan - carrots, lettuce, etc. and I exercised 5 days out of 7. But I didn't lose a pound. Then the second week, I lost some of my drive. I only worked out 2 days, and I ate a lot of cake and junk food. My weigh in day was the day after Thanksgiving, during which I stuffed myself with turkey, gravy, and stuffing. So how did I lose weight the second week but not the first? >.< And does this mean cake makes you lose weight? XD

Hello, i'll be joining this weigh-in thread. I'm 5 foot and 150 pounds. my goal is to lose 30 pounds and be 120 again like i used to be 2 years ago. already have childbearing hips and like, breasts that i dont want [crossplaying reasons] so i wanna lose weight, and lose it by next april at least

The short answer is that often when you first start to burn fat the body doesn't want to change. Often you will retain water, so even though your body fat is going down your weight does not. What will be effective for many people is something called carb cycling, or basically eating a greater deal of carbs for one day, (this is usually more controlled then a binge) but it allows the body to drop the water.

I myself looked great the day after Thanksgiving despite all those tasty tasty brownies.

Try to stick with clean eating, make sure you eat enough, and no cake is not a a great diet plan.

This is a good idea!

Current weight: 148 lbs
Start weight: 148 lbs
Goal weight: 130 lbs

2 years ago, I weighed about 120, then I gained like 20 pounds of mostly muscle because of Track. When track stopped, I didn't really work out during the off season ^^' But conditioning is starting up, and I'm gonna work super hard to get down to at least 130 by the end of the season!

: 245 lb.
Goal Weight: 175 lb. (This is a mid-term goal, not long-term, nor short-term)
Love to get to Weight: 145 lb (this is my long-term dream goal)
BMI: 34, WAY too high.

Reason for dieting: Not actually for cosplay, actually because my family has a STRONG line of diabetes and I do NOT want to be n that bandwagon. I do want to eventually be able to do a real-life version of Alex L. Armstrong from FullMetal.

Returning at week 4.

Current weight: 222.0 Down 8.5 lbs from week 1.
Start weight: 237 lbs
Goal weight: 150 lbs

Finally-I'm off my crutches and operating at about 85%. Somehow, I managed to lose 5.5 pounds while I was mostly immobile (for 3 agonizing weeks). I'm not complaining.
