Returned to the start and they exchanged my copy free of charge (Benefit of being a frequent customer). The annoying part is that large chains will frequently stock no or few english copies of games where the french version is available.

Awesome post. I consider myself a left-leaning moderate - socially liberal and somewhat economically conservative. Since the beginning of the Bush administration, this country seems to be getting more and more divided. Maybe it's when people who thought the Iraq war wasn't such a good idea were being labeled as "terrorists" and were "aiding the enemy." Not that I particularly think Obama is doing an excellent job either. I always go unaffiliated as far as my political party loyalty is concerned.

The one thing I don't understand is the people that talk about "small government" don't have any problem wanting a huge military (that they don't want to have to pay for) and wanting a strong domestic spying program to make sure we are being morally checked in our privacy.

Wow, that is almost funny because in practice, there are parts of KS government that are very gay friendly. Adoption and child custody are one area where KS is great. I have seen gay and lesbian couples chosen to adopt nonrelated children, when there were also several heterosexual couples wanting the same child, but the gay/lesbian couple were a better fit. And in child custody where one parent left the other for a person of the same sex, I have seen the judges tell the hetero parent that's irrelevant to the wellbeing of the child and it isn't considered in custody. We had a lesbian undersheriff, but she left us when she got elected as sheriff the next county over. I guess she didn't get the memo she's a criminal.
