I recently fell in love with Bioshock, and a friend and I were gonna do some Splicer cosplays for AnimeNext. I was gonna do a Lady Smith, don't know what kind yet, and my friend is still undecided. Is there anyone else who would be interested in or already doing splicer cosplays for ANext?

I totally forgot about this thread. For Halloween at the studio I decided to make some splicer costumes. I was Lady Smith and I made Baby Jane for one of the other office assistants. We had another admin come in as Waders but unfortunately we only were able to do an impromptu shoot without him (he had changed out of his costume before we took photos at the end of the day). But it was fun and I thought this thread would appreciate it Lot's of folks don't notice a BioShock cosplay if you're not wearing a bunny mask :/http://www.cosplay.com/gallery/196293/

@Yummy Gamorah: Oh, I loved your Lady Smith!
I recently fell in love with Bioshock too and really want to cosplay a Little Sister. I know it would make more sense to be a Splicer (Spider splicers = <3), but the Little Sisters were my favourite part of the games. :<

Which is always great. Not that it isnt fun to run around yelling about the filth in Apollo Square, running around announcing the angels your seeing just sounds like something comically enjoyable.

Well I Cosplayed as Little Sister for a Convention and If you want to dress up as a Little Sister, here's what I did :
I bought a Mc Calls Pattern ( I think it's Mc Calls ) and the pattern was a Alice in wonderland Dress, I thought it was very similar to Little Sister dresses so I made It in blue, you can choose any color, but most of them are purple, or blue, but that's your choice. Then for the syringe, I took an old thing used to wash windows, I destroyed it ( lol ) and built a syringe with Here's a pick of me with my entire cosplay : http://www.hilderic-theknight.devian...lery/#/d34b3kq I Know i'm like ... to big to be a Little sister xD

I've been in love with Bioshock from day one. I'm actively building a Subject Delta cosplay, a Big Sister/Grown Elanor Lamb (for my wife), and a Little Sister marionette. I will be uploading some picture of the build so far, about 50% done with the Delta right now. My goal is to have nearly everything done by the time the weather warms so I can jump right into resin and painting.

Is anyone looking at making any Bioshock Infinite cosplays? I know the game doesn't come out for a while, but I am curious. I jumped the gun and made an Elizabeth cosplay after the demo came out last year. ^^

@Mithrenniel - welcome to Rapture. As for the prop making, research, research, research, then find a way to make a process your own. I try to keep things simple, which usually leads to more work than necessary with some of the more complicated techniques. Feel free to send me a PM if you need any help or advice.
@Tonyu - I really want to see the rest of the game first, personally. Can't really decide on the characters from just the demo, but if Infinite is as good as the original, there will certainly be some work there. |

Hey, I just recently put up some pictures of my Subject Delta helmet in the costume critique section. Would love any feedback from other Bioshock fans (Bioshockers??).
http://www.cosplay.com/showthread.php?t=236669 Today, I already went over some other rough spots and re-primed, but you can still get an idea of what it is looking like. All feedback +/- is welcome and wanted. |

I corrected some inaccuracies on the dress. I'm thinking about making a BigDaddy Plush to go with the outfit. It'll need to be on the big side to look right. But I think I can make it work. What do you all think?
@tn scotsman- I left some feed back for you.

@Mithrenniel: Thanks for the feedback. I've got to update with some new pics soon.
As for making your own Big Daddy plush, I say go for it! I would look at a softball for the head instead of the baseball the actual one uses. That should get it to just about the right scale. I think you could remake the cork screw drill arm out of some stripped house electrical wire. That way you could wrap it around something to get the length you need. Keep us posted. |

I got the softball and I bought and broke a corkscrew for pieces. (man those broke so easily, cheap materials much) Now I'm going to take a better look at the refrence pictures.
______ Well, I've done a lot in 24 hours or so, but it's not done yet. Pictures in my Little Sister cosplay!
