I'm so glad I came to check out the chinese forum. Will soon be going to beijing to stay because my dad's work. Is looking out for courses in Tsinghua and researching on cons and cosplay/anime related shops in Beijing now.

ok, i think there is a mall in beijing called soshow ( correct me if im wrong, cuz i dont live in beijing, i live in shanghai, but now im in canada lol )

你们好！
I see this topic kinda froze two years ago, but I'll give it a try to warm it up again xDDD I'm going to have a 3 month work placement in Beijing and would love to attent some Cosplay Events there, but I have no idea where to find them. ^^' I'm going to stay at the "Far Est Youth Hostel Beijing" and it would be nice if someone could tell me about some Cosplay events in that area. I'll get to Beijing on the 1st June and until my internship starts I'll have one week to find my way around. I love Cosplaying and hope to find some friends by attending Cosplayevents ^o^

Help finding English-speaking Cosplay communities
Hello everyone. I'm writing an article about cosplayers in Beijing and am looking for cosplaying communities in the city, especially ones that are English-language-friendly. Does anyone know of any contacts/websites for this kind of thing?
Also, what are the most notable Chinese-language cosplay communities or clubs? Thanks in advance! |

Ahahaha Im in Beijing now. Yesterday there was a big con in the Beijing Exhibition center... there's like a con every month. And I agree, Soshow has a whole level (6) dedicated to manga and anime and cosplay etc. Also BaiRong has an anime store on the toys level. To find cons search: 漫画展览 on baidu.com. Hope that helps!

Hey, I've searched some informations about this Beijing Exhibition Center, but it's impossible to find its events schedule. Is it true that there's a con every month there?
Could someone give me some tips about cons in May, June & July? I only have 3 months last in Beijing and haven't met any anime/manga fans here. Kinda sad. |
