Hey ther! So (sadly) I was just introduced to Middle Earth this year but it's captured me in a way that not many things do. I suppose it's better late then never though ;) But anyway, I'm currently in the process of starting a Pippin cosplay (Gondorian Armour). He has to be one of my favorites. And if I can find some other LotR fans in my area, I'll definitely attend the Hobbit in costume. For now, I'm having a moving party for one of my friends in May which will be LotR themed. Trying to finish the costume by then though haha. Shoudn't be too hard. BUT! I've been looking for wigs online to get in the future, but I can't seem to find any nice, natural looking two-toned ones. Any suggestions? Are there any you guys have found to work out well or look nice and natural? Either way, the hobbit cosplays I've seen don't seem to be too strict on that so I'm not too worried. They're all adorable <3

So anyway, the series is absolutely incredible and it's so awesome everyone can share it like this and find fellow fans :)

You probably won't be able to find a really GOOD wig for too cheap, but there are ones you can get and just cut. I ended up doing that for Aragorn.

Awww, haha, thank you so much! ^///^ I would LOVE to do more Arwen costumes, but I don't trust myself with making most of her costumes since they are so intricate, and I lack the funds to commission them, lol. D: I'd love to do her blue dress and her coronation gown, though. I'll make them someday!

@Suzie- Same! The scarfs look great though! I'm doing his Gondorian armor but if I decide to do the fellowship outfit then I'll have to look into getting a scarf. I'll hold on to your etsy page for that occasion :)

Wow, thank you soooo much! *o* That means A LOT to me because I think that Liv Tyler is one of the most beautiful women on the planet!

Thank you! Yes, they're contact lenses. ^^ They looked great in pictures but weren't very comfortable to wear, haha. xD

Ten- Really?? Wow, thanks! I've always wanted to cosplay Eowyn. She's so cool. lol I love Arwen, too, I just don't think I could pull her off. As for my other LotR stuff, the Pippin scarf is really all I have so far!! haha

Thanks, I'm glad you think so! And I definitely feel like the discomfort was worth it! But still, the next time I cosplay Arwen, I will be using different contacts, lol.

Yeah, I think the dying gown is the most simplistic and I love the long red sleeves! I'm not very good at sewing though, and I make most of my costumes through different means, so I don't trust myself with the embroidery and whatnot..... Perhaps I'll try my hand at it someday, though.

Also, if you want to cosplay Arwen, I say go for it!! ;D

1. Do you cosplay as certain characters from the book/the movies, or do you have an OC?
I'm actually working on a Legolas cosplay now! I'm so extremely excited, though this is gonna be my toughest costume yet!
2. What got you into the fandom and when did you start cosplaying from it?
Honestly, the movies. I don't care what other fans say, we're all nerds in the end. I'm no lesser of a fan because of where I started.
3. The movies - what do you think? Great inspiration or totally off?
I loooooved the movies! I watched them over and over all the time. The acting, costumes, music, effects, all of it was fantastic! The books were fantastic, too ofc.
4. Any particular race (Elf, Hobbit, Man...) you prefer cosplaying? Why?
Elf, I resemble them the most. Tall, pale, blond, sharp features. I love how pretty everything about them is. I've never had more fun planning a costume in my life, than I am with Legolas.
