First ice cream of the year. Though not favourite (Dad got neapolitan. I prefer cookies and cream/chocolate chip cookie dough, mint chocolate chip, or various ripples. Neapolitan's kinda bleh.)

My mom is making one of my favorite dishes for dinner tonight. It's this casserole with chicken and broccoli in a curried cheese cream sauce over Basmati rice. SOOOO GOOD!

Sometimes it's really awesome living with my parents again. XD

Not really all that less fattening..heh, heh. Good for fried chicken. Fried catfish. Fried steak with a side of mashed potatoes. Now I have to figure out what to fix myself for dinner.

I know, July or August seems like a much more appropriate time for cherry cobbler. Not that I ever find fresh tart cherries in the stores here, anyway. I just feel like once in my life I'd like to try making a cherry dish that didn't involve the kind that come canned in plastic-tasting goop.
