Loki Helmet

Hai guys. So I was wondering, how do I make the horned helmet of Loki as cheaply as I can? I was thinking of making the helmet part out of cardboard and craft foam and then make detachable horns out of tin foil and baking clay. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

Pictures dear! I don't know who Loki is. There are dozens of characters with that name. <3

Baking clay won't be good, those horns are gigantic and you need them to be as light as possible.
I, personally, am really terrible at wire sculpting. But if you are good at sculpting with wire you can do wire, cover it in masking tape, and then paper mache over it. If you use a few layers of paper mache it will be really light as well as sturdy. Then you can sand them down. You probably want to paper mache over your cardboard helmet part too to strengthen it and smooth it out.

Oh yeah. The wire frame thing makes sense. And I was planning on Paper Mache. I only said the clay thing because a friend of mine who is really good at it said it might work. But yeah, I was looking at doing the wire frame too

Dear gawd, clay. Big no-no; those're gonna be way too heavy, and from what experiences I've had with clay, a single accidental whack or two is enough to total it.

I'd go with catfetus's idea. :/ Not the sturdiest thing ever, but way lighter and you could probably make an extra helmet just in case.

I can't tell if he is supposed to be Loki, but I was looking through pictures the other day and I actually saw someone who used the two halves of one of those big, rounded, styrofoam hearts from Hobby Lobby (they have them with the styrofoam rings, foam wig dummy heads, etc) as his horns:
