Character: Wig for Stocking from Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt
Pictures: 1 2 3 4 5
Timeline: I ordered it 05/27 and I received it 06/09.
Pros: Accurate length, color
Cons: A little thin
Describe your Experience: I ordered my wig and paid for it immediately. Within two or three days, I got a message from the seller telling me that the wig shipped and gave me a tracking number for a certain website. It was obvious that the wig pictured was not the wig they sent me. Here's what it was supposed to look like and the pictures above are what it was. You can see that in real life the pink was a much lighter shade and a lot thinner. I know wigs that are that long can't be too thick because it would fall off/be really heavy, but that was one of my first observations when I got it.
Final Grade: A

Timeline (how long your order took to process): 2-3 weeks
Describe your Experience. Pros, Cons, Comments:
Pros: The whole transaction went quite smoothly. It was the first cosplay item I had ever bought online, so I was skeptical at first. They shipped my order within a day, and received it about 2 weeks later. It came in a package that was quite small, but the wig wasn't harmed at all, and was in great condition with great quality synthetic fiber. I've had this wig for almost a year now, and have worn it to almost 3 conventions, and it's still amazing. It photographs well, and is very comfortable.
Cons: I truthfully cannot think of any cons at this time. Maybe that it was a little overpriced? But it is a fantastic wig. :3

Character commissioned and series/video game (please include if this was the entire costume, just a jacket, prop, accessory, wig, etc.): Full costume; Saya Minatsuki from Black Cat

Links to picture(s) of your commissioned item:
The original page is here (the picture of the actual costume is shown on the bottom) and the costume I received is here.

Timeline (how long your order took to process): In their e-mail they told me it would take 3-4 weeks for delivery. It was shipped after 4 weeks, a Thursday, and I received it the following Monday.

Describe your Experience. Pros, Cons, Comments.: I had to contact the company to receive information on the progress of my costume, but otherwise I had no trouble. The costume is very nicely made, is accurate to the character, fits well and is comfortable. They added the "necklace" which is really just a bead on a string, but that's not really an issue as I would have probably been making my own anyway.

After: http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/m...806 464_n.jpg
Timeline (how long your order took to process): About 2-3 weeks
Describe your Experience. Pros, Cons, Comments:
Pros: They shipped my wig quite quickly. I received it in about 2-3 weeks and it was a great quality wig. It fits well and came with a wig cap to hold my hair back, and although I already have a bunch, it's great to have extras. ^^ it photographs well, and looks really natural. It's extremely silky and is nice and light, but is still quite thick.
Cons: The shipping cost. It was 25 for the wig, and another 15 or so for shipping. I was kind of disappointed in how expensive the shipping was, but hey what can you do. The wig is also so silky that when you try to brush it to the side so you can see, it just falls back into place, which can get quite annoying at times. >.<

Links to picture(s) of your received item: http://www.cosplay.com/photo/2952433/ and http://clockwalk.deviantart.com/art/...F29583940&qo=1 and
Timeline (how long your order took to process): I think it was two weeks...? Err I kind of forgot. I know it was over a week and less than a month, though.
Describe your Experience:
+++Pros: The wig was really, really soft and felt real. It wasn't blindingly shiny but matte enough to look great. Not sure if this is a pro or a con, but the wig tends to photograph VERY differently, depending on the light. In sunlight or bright light, it can go from green with a hint of blue, to cyan. In medium light it can look dark sea-green, to deep cyan. Seeing as how the photo used in the sellar's reference matched the colour of my wig under the same lighting, it was still accurately portrayed. The shipping was really fast, and even though the sellar's first language wasn't English, she could speak it well enough and would always answer really fast. And she was polite and nice.
---Cons: There are three cons I can think of. The first is that you have to be very careful if you style this wig. The wig cap shows really easily because the wig is thin. To make matters worse, the wig keeps thinning. It keeps shedding and losing hairs. While normal hair loses over a hundred hairs per day, this wig goes at the same rate. But wigs can't re-grow hair. So. I wouldn't suggest going to Charissa if you're looking for a base wig. Oh, the second con was the shipping bag it came in. The wig came in an envelope, one of the things where you have a string tied around two tabs. It didn't look very secure, but apparently Charissa Kids' wigs always come in undamaged anyway. The last con is the bangs of the wig. Very, very inaccurate. I guess the model cut hers, because the bangs on mine weren't styled at all. I wasn't that upset, and I kind of expected it after looking at her other listings. But ye have been warned. Them bangs are probably gonna need to be cut if you want them to be accurate to the model's wig. Oh, unless the wig was modelled on a wig stand. Then the bangs will be fine.
===Comments: The wig was still really great, even though it's thin. And a little inaccurate. I probably won't return to their store unless I really have to, but I don't regret buying from them.
Final Grade: B+

Timeline (how long your order took to process): A week
Describe your Experience:
+++Pros: The wig was really soft and smooth, and the base and pigtails were both thickly rooted. I could style it and the wig cap wouldn't show, and the hairs wouldn't come out easily. When the pigtails came in, already tangled beyond salvation, the sellar sent out a pair of new pigtails for free. Excluding shipping, we paid that. But I thought that was nice of her/him/it/whoever it was. The sellar communication was great and the shipping time was absolutely fantastic.
---Cons: There are a lot of cons. First, they stole an image from Saya, a famous Japanese cosplayer. This was the image in their listing: http://a2.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...5893 50_n.jpg. Naturally, the wig wasn't anything like the photo. The colour could only reach that colour if you photoshopped it. The length of the bangs and base wig fell down to my shoulders, but the length of the pigtails were correctly portrayed - 120cm. The wig cap fit well for a while, but then it began to squeeze on my head so hard, it gave me pounding, thundering headaches. But man, oh man. If only I knew the picture was Saya before I purchased this wig. Very sadface.
===Comments I would think twice, and then again before buying from this sellar. Apparently the wigs that weren't modelled on an actual person are accurate, but I wouldn't know. I'm not purchasing from them again, though. Just to be safe.

Back of wig.
Timeline (how long your order took to process): States that it takes about a month to be delivered. I paid on the 17th June, it got dispatched on the 21st and recieved it on the 27th June. So, extremely quick.

Describe your Experience. Pros, Cons, Comments.: Bought the item, they said it would take about 4 days for the item to be dispatched and so it did. I don't have any cons at all. Got a free wig cap and the wig is of a beautiful colour.
But I would have to warn saying that the wig that you get will be slightly darker than the one in their stock photos. But I expected and hoped for this so I didn't mind!

Final Grade: A+

Excellent service. Would definitely buy from again.

Timeline (how long your order took to process): 15 days to make, + 10 days delivery. I was not sent any messages updating me on the progress of my commission or notified when it had been shipped.
Describe your Experience. Pros, Cons, Comments: I thought long and hard about getting the bag commissioned and eventually decided to get it made by cosplay fu. Their communication was great, with really quick responses to my questions. The only problem was when the bag arrived it was missing a strap (as can be seen in the photos). I emailed them and complained, but they replied that according to their manufacturer the bag only had 3 straps in total. I sent them several reference pictures which clearly showed the bag had 4 straps in total. I requested to be either sent the missing strap or sent material matching the bag so I could make my own. They refused. So after sending them a rude email and opening a paypal dispute they finally sent me the strap. The bag is not as accurate as I would have liked it to have been so I have had to make several adjustments to it including attaching the missing strap. The bag is made from pleather/leatherette and is an ok quality but there is some evidence of stitches being missed and threads coming loose. Also it was missing the two metal studs on the hip strap (which I have added myself).
Final Grade: C- This experience has put me off getting other cosplay items commissioned in future

Characer: Hatsune Miku from "Secret Police", wig
Pictures: here is what I bought. I recieved prettymuch EXACTLY what's in the picture, MINUS the styled bangs. Repeat: the bangs ARE NOT STYLED. However, the colour is pretty spot accurate.
Timeline (how long your order took to process): Ordered June 10th, shipped 13th, postmarked from HK the 14th, was supposed to receive it June 22nd, but no one was home to sign for the package, so I had to pick it up on June 27th. Seventeen days from China O_O
Describe your Experience:

I was looking around for a SP Wig for KumoriCon, when I literally stumbled (link upon a link...linkception!) upon CK. At first I was a little bit hesitant, as I am with all commissioners that I don't see on this thread, but decided to bite the bullet and order anyways.

When I picked it up from the post office (this was my communication fault between family members, it's not affecting my review), I was taken a little aback at how it came in an envelope, but still seemed VERY intact. No holes, squishies, stains, etc. I untied it and saw the wig base + two clip-on tails in a protective plastic bag with a free wig cap! Score!

Taking it home, I started to examine it more. It's pretty good quality, it feels very soft/silken almost. I REALLY recommend against straightening it, unless you watch it carefully with LOW LOW /LOW/ heat. It wasn't tangled, it was secured in some sort of hairnet thing lol? But still, untangled. It just needed a tiny bit of a brush out, but not the detangle method

I can't find any cons about it....um, the ponytails are kind of tricky to clip on right now (it's not a clip-clip like I've seen other wigs), but that's also my error: I don't have a wig head. They also provide a little contact card with saying to contact them if you have a problem.

The wig itself fits...really well. It's a bit snug, but nothing OH MY GOD CIRCULATION IS DYING KILL THIS WITH FIRE uncomfortable. It's not thin, and pieces don't fall out (save for the one or two hairs, but). The ponytails aren't thick and hard, they're basically stuffed with cotton. The small downside is if they unwrap, I might have to figure out "how do I do this", lol.

Pros: Fits nice, great experience, pretty good quality, soft, doesn't tangle easily, FAST shipping, no customs (for me.), all in all great!

Cons: A bit small despite it fitting nice, the ponytails slipping.

Final Grade: A+! Despite those two cons, they're not glaringly obvious, and, honestly, all wigs require upkeep

Website/C.com gallery: http://stores.ebay.com/CosplayDNA-Wigs-for-Cosplay

Product type and Character commissioned and series/video game: Extra Long 40" Heat Resistant Black Wig for Isaak von Kampfer from Trinity Blood

Links to picture(s) of your commissioned item: http://cgi.ebay.com/40-Heat-Resistan... em230f29929e

Timeline (how long your order took to process): 4 days; June 24 - June 28

Comments: In search of a very long, Monofilament, heat resistant wig I came across cosplayDNA. With their extremely cheap prices it seemed too good to be true, however, I searched for what others had said about it and it seemed like a very good place to shop. I payed twenty-five dollars for the wig and an additional ten to have it rush delivered. The description said it was a skin top full wig. What I received was not that. I received a lace cap, long black wig with bangs cut very short in the middle of the forehead (4.5 inches) and cut to about 13.5 inches toward the sides with some tapering. I re-checked the page, and it seems that there is a second and third description for the wig that doesn't match the first one displayed at the very top beneath the item. This is not only misleading, but very confusing for the customer. All of the descriptions are somewhat different from each other, none of them mentioning bangs, so it's a guessing game as to which one is the right one. Aside from that, it seemed to comb out very easily with both my fingers and a regular plastic hairbrush; as Monofilament wigs should from what I've seen and heard; so that seems to okay. I have yet to test it with a straightener or curler on low. The site claims this wig should be able to stand up to 200 degrees Celsius (392 degrees Fahrenheit). Unfortunately, I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the bangs; I needed them to be the same length as the rest of the hair for this character. All other options for an extra long heat resistant wig are non existent at this time, so in case I can't get a better one I'm holding onto this one. I don't recommend trying to contact cosplayDNA by email; I asked them a question via email two weeks prior to purchasing the wig, but still have not received a response.

Bottom Line: Great Prices, Great Quality so far except for the lack of skin top, Bad with communication, Bad descriptions for products, so be careful.

Final Grade: B-

Details may be a teensy bit off as this is a review for my friend's wig, and not mine.

Name of Merchant: Moemall
Website: on eBay
Item purchased (please include quantity): Gumi wig (x1)
Links to picture(s) of your received item: http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...345858_n. jpg
Timeline (how long your order took to process): About a week
Describe your Experience:
+++Pros: The wig was thick and soft, and felt real. Hard to see the wig cap, or any part of the wig cap at all. The hairs don't come out so often. Maybe just a few per wear.
---Cons: The colour was different. The image showed a light mint green throughout the entire wig. Her wig was more like a saturated leaf green with bright yellow-neon-green in the bottom layers of the back. It could be that I was used to my light, thin charissa-KIDS wig, but to me, this wig was on the heavy side. Could be because it was so thick?
===Comments: Although the wig's colour was inaccurate, it's still a very nicely styled wig that suited the character with well-rooted fibers.
Final Grade: A

Haven't done this before but I see my commissioner for my props has only got 1 review, So-
Name of Commissioner: Chou-wa
Website/C.com gallery: http://seventhmoon.org/cosplay/
Prop commissioned: Rena Ryuguu's cleaver
Links to picture of item: http://www.cosplay.com/photo/2862914/
Timeline: i believe it was about a month, month and 1/2 when i ordered it. i don't remember waiting longer than that.
Pros: She would send me a link to her Flickr for progressive pics at least every couple of days-weeks. I paid half when she started and then the rest when i saw that she was done. It was given to me very quickly, in fact, the exact time she said i would receive it. it's very sturdy and BIG too, which is what i wanted. it arrived in a very nice protected box too.
Cons It's understandable, but the very tip of the cleaver is small and looks like it could break off. it's fixable with glue but scary when i take it out to get pictures since i don't want it to break off.
Final Grade: A-, only because of the tip.

Item purchased (please include quantity): Yuna's Nirvanah, only 1.
Links to picture(s) of your received item: http://www.cosplay.com/photo/2955910/
Timeline (how long your order took to process): again, less than to 1 1/2 months.
Describe your Experience: She responds very quickly, she asks you to pay half, like always, and then -shows you her Flickr to the actual progressive pictures- asks you to pay the rest when she's done.
Pros: It's the perfect size, color, weight- not too heavy, but not flimsy either- and she even added the little red string! everything is easily movable i.e. you can screw and unscrew the top part and bottom part of the staff so you can store it easier.
Cons: cons? what cons?
Comments: I had always wanted to make my Yuna complete and now she definitely is! Ger's weapon is just the most beautiful thing I've ever owned. I'm definitely recommending her to anyone who wants a big/medium/ or large prop. In fact, she's the only person i'll ever go to if i need any type of weapon or prop.
Final Grade: A++++++++++++++++++

Timeline (how long your order took to process): Don't have the exact order date (derpderp) but it was only a few days before it was shipped (June 16) and it arrived June 20.
Describe your Experience. Pros, Cons, Comments.
I have previously ordered from them, although it was a more basic order (Org. XIII cloak) but decided to return to them since I'm super-paranoid about getting scammed on ebay, etc.
As mentioned, it came super-quickly. At first, I was afraid this meant that it wasn't well put-together/was poorly made. Luckily, this worry was unnecessary as it fit perfectly aside from the fact that the sleeves are a couple centimeters too short but that's probably my own fault for not adding enough extra onto my measurements and it's hardly noticeable. Unfortunately, they only provide one belt to go around the waist and nothing to go over the shoulder. I thought this was an issue on their end as their photo shows an over-the-shoulder piece. I emailed them and got a response the same day explaining that no, that's how it's supposed to be.

Pros: Quick shipping, quick response to emails, seems to be good quality, fits quite well, good price ($105USD with shipping).

Cons: Belt issue, sleeves too short.

Final Grade: A. It would be an A+ but I'm a super-perfectionist.

Links to picture(s) of your commissioned item: Again, no images. Sorry ^^;
Timeline (how long your order took to process): I ordered January 24, and received it...2 months later? I can't remember the exact date
Describe your Experience. Pros, Cons, Comments.
I was a bit hesitant at first and was considering some other options...but they were cheapest, so they won out.
Nothing of note.
Pros: Exactly as image showed, arrived pretty quickly, tie is pre-tied (don't have to tie it myself :P), fits well aside from the fact that the skirt was a few inches shorter than I wanted, but that's because the skirt itself began higher than where I measured from so it's my own fault, and they won't get any points docked for that)
Cons: I'm not super-fond of the shoulder straps (they attach in front and since they attache to buttons on the inside of the skirt, the inside gets pulled up a bit). It's also not as accurate as I would have liked, but I gathered that from the picture so, again, no points from them.
Final Grade: A-. Would use them again if they were the cheapest option.

Eclair:

http://phantom-shadow.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d3ai6g8

Farore never received.

Timeline (how long your order took to process): Contacted sometime in November or Early December for Farore wig and paid in full. Commissioned Eclair in late December also pain in full.

Describe your Experience. Pros, Cons, Comments.

Pros: Was fast to respond until my deadline was missed and I received one wig.

Cons: Deadline missed. One wig never received.

Comments: When I commissioned the Farore wig, I had no deadline as the con dates were yet to be announced. I told her my deadline with the Eclair wig commission which was Febuary 18 2011. At first I was told I'd get pictures of Farore sometime in December but they never came. My deadline neared with no pictures of my wigs. It got to the point where she didn't answer my messages and my deadline passed. I also never got a tracking number for the wigs at this point. Like all of the other commissionees, I was told the mail lost them and It would take time to get them returned so I waited. She shipped them out again in March. This time only one got to me (Eclair). I didn't receive a tracking for Farore. The number given to me was only for Eclair. Once again I messaged her and she found out that the wig was in another state and she would get it returned to her. I waited again for word but she never messaged me and I messaged her, The wig came back in bad condition. At this point in time *Some time in March* I told her I wanted my money back for the wig. She said she would refund me and I waited. No word then until I messaged her again. I was told I was 2 in a list of four to be refunded. Now here is where I messed up, instead of waiting for a refund, I was in need of another wig so I went for return credit in early May. Told her my deadline *June 2* And she ordered the wig. Haven't heard from her since and it's now July 3. From the comments on her page, other person have yet to get their wigs either. Never did received pictures of the Farore wig. I also read in one of the commissionee's journal that she was lying about shipping them. The person messaged her and she told her that she shipped them out but when texting her, the wigs were "Oops. Still in my closet. 83". Should have took the hint then. Sorry if this is long winded.

Final Grade: D *I'll upgrade it a C if I ever get my other wig*
