Oglaf?

Okay so...I know it's dirty and sexual and raunchy (though really not much more than many actual medieval texts, but that's beside the point) but I totally want to cosplay as the Ivan, aka The Apprentice from Oglaf.

Anyone else considered/considering doing a cosplay from Oglaf?

I know my friend always jokingly said she would do the Sorceress, but never seriously. She draws the line at wearing thongs and pasties as cosplay, no matter how fabulous!

I'm actually planning on making several Mistress costumes for A-kon next year. My girlfriend, Kaitlin, is going to go as the lady adventurer, Greir. She originally wanted me to be the Snow Queen to match, but I am no hourglass figured lady. I actually share Mistress' exact body type, and her outfits are killer.

However, I'm no fan of wearing thongs out in public either, so I'm going to sacrifice a bit of artistic integrity in favor of public decency. We're just going to adapt her bottoms to cover everything.

Novella aside, if you do Ivan, we *must* kidnap you and have a mini shoot. ♥

This thread has inspired my friends. We're officially doing an Oglaf group for Halloween and next year's FanExpo with the sorceress, apprentice, ambassador from Xoan and the adventurer (Grier). Exciiiting!

Wig crooked? USE IT IN YOUR ART.

Pack of screeching fan-tamarins just broke your prop? USE IT IN YOUR ART.

I'm delighted to hear that you've got a chum doing the Xoan ambassador, invalid101. Sandoval is the awesomest ever and there just needs to be more of him in the world. Do you know which outfit you're going for? I love his funeral suit, but not everybody wants to wear a bundle of sticks on their hat...

Well it's gonna be a crossplay, naturally, since I don't have any male friends with that figure. She wants to do the funeral outfit but I don't know if she's decided.

Kaitlin and I already decided that I'm going to change into a different outfit every few hours on whichever day we do Mistress and Greir, so I managed to find five of her costumes that a) cover a decent amount, and b) have straight hair so I can get away with only one wig. Aww yeah.

Doing Falconer Mistress (from "Bad Falcon") for Otakon. It is one of those cosplays I thought would be oh so easy looking at it and then it turned out to be a huge pain in the ass. My friend is doing the Xoan Ambassador. We have yet to recruit an Ivan, sadly. Or a lawn gnome.
