American McGee's Alice

I'd thought I start a thread as I'm considering doing it. With the sequel out now which includes many dresses for Alice, I expect cosplay of it to become a lot more common.

This video shows pictures of a bunch of Alice's dresses from the sequel.

^_^ I'm pretty obsessed with the idea of making some of her dresses! Right now I think I'm just trying to decide which one to start with - there's so many really cute outfits.

Can anyone weigh in on her hair color? in menu screens it looks dark dark brown with red undertones but in screen shots it looks black.

I say it's brown. It was brown in the original so that's what I'd go with.

After making the London Alice for a friend, I want to do one of her outfits now. I'll probably do the dollhouse version(not sure what they call it), because I like the colours

My sister is cosplaying Alice for a con at the end of August. My friend and I are doing human versions of the Oyster show girls from Chapter 2, the water world in Madness Returns.

Brilliant! I am really excited to see these, that's such a fun original idea!

Cheshire-dress

I'm planning on making the downloadable Cheshire-dress, it's cool as heck!

I have no idea how I am to make it though...Does anyone have any ideas/tips on how I am to make the dress itself/what fabric I should use?

Oh...em...gee!!!!!! I'm working on the misstitched dress from the dollhouse map right now. I finally found the perfect creepy doll face to put on the back of the bow. Trying to figure out how to make a hobby horse is eating my brain, though, so I might just carve out a vorpal blade for now. I also want to make the flesh maiden dress from the DLC dresses. I just have no idea how to make it. I've worked with liquid latex to make small apparel things, but I don't know on this scale. Any suggestions?

Yeaaah... I'm pretty dadgum into this game. Love the storyline, even if the gameplay in between good bits gets a little tedious

I've got a really nice lull in between now and my next convention, so I'm hoping to finally get started on the Queen of Hearts (from the sequel) while I have free time!

I'm working on her blue dress right now. I'm hoping to have it done by Halloween :P
But a quick question...how should I make the skull part of her bow at the back of her dress?

I would recommend clay, but if you really don't want to work with it, I'd say craftfoam could also work. But yeah, clay would look best since the skull looks to be made out of it anyway

I bought a small plastic skull from Target's 'Ween section for $2. Attaching to the bow with velcro.
