Hello~

I'm currently working on a Sode no Shirayuki cosplay. I'm about 95% finished, I just need to cut/style the wig, and make a few alterations to her furisode:

I plan on adding some hidden snaps to the inside of her furisode to make it fit nicer, so it will take on that almost mermaid-gown shape that it has.

Because the kimono pools around her feet, it makes it very difficult to walk in, and I end up tripping over my own feet like a klutz. The zori I wear with it don't really help either, haha. Short of having to hike the hem up and carry it around, does anyone have any suggestions?

Also, does anyone know how her obiage (green sash) is tied? The only tutorials I can find are for a square knot.

Your wig looks lovely. Such a sweet colour.
And personally I think your breasts look slightly too... well, big. Haineko's got the hips rather than the breasts (though they're supposed to be rather large as well).
The fabric on your arms and leg looks rather loose, too, but that might just be the fluff

Cute costume. If your picture hasn't been flipped, though, one of us has managed to mirror-flip the costume. Probably me.

hehe ya i know the breast are pretty huge but i tried to go with the most accurate as possible in the series her breast are a bit bigger than her head so i tried to go to scale with that
The legs and arms are skin tight can make them any tighter just the fur that makes them look lose
as for the tail its filled with cotton and has a metal wire in it so i can bend it to what ever shape i want at the end of the tail there is a nub of 4 layers of cardboard with elastic strips just put the tail into the hole i have in the shorts then put a belt thru the elastic strips belt it in place bam i has a tail thats going nowhere

On a normal human being they aren't proportionate, though. I'd think you should go for shape, rather than size, and it'll look better (and more like Haineko, since while she is certainly well equipped, it doesn't look as grotesque as that size would on a normal non-anime person)

Oh, I see! Good idea, I might have to look into something like that. I didn't like my floppy tail. I wanted to be able to swish it around in pictures

I really wanna do Kujaku...but...Girly-fied. I can cut and dye the wig myself, that won't be a problem...what I know I will be cursing about is, I want to get a sweetheart corset, and put feathers on it, and also I will have to hand make the boots. That's really all the problems I foresee. I need to start to work on it, since I only have...4 and a half months to get it done before the next convention I go to.

I'm planning on cosplaying Hyorinmaru. I have the outfit and the wig taken care of but I'm stuck on his arms and feet since they have they have the ice dragon claws and feet. A friend suggested that I make a plastic mold of my hands and feet and then sculpt and paint them like Hyorinmaru's. I want the hands to be able to hold and grab things or to be able to be taken off easily. The feet obviously have to be bale to be walked on. I also want to be able to take them off easy and put it on again for future use. If anyone can help please let me know! There's no rush for this so I have plenty of time.
