Totally! I made my Shinkenger helmet thanks to this tutorial. Though I do reccomend bondo in the end process to smooth the whole thing out, after a layer or two of paper mache.

Well, probably not a lot. I can't remember what size my first purchase was..... but ever since, I've been going to gallons, which are a little over $18 at WalMart (bought one yesterday).
I'm sure there's a size smaller than that though. (Maybe a quart?) Get it and try. What's the worst thing that can happen? You'd have to go back to the store and buy another one. But that wouldn't affect your project at all, because it's just fine to bondo this stuff one section at a time. |

It's a great tutorial! I made my Splash Woman helmet with it and I'm impressed.

I'm gonna be making a gundam using eva foam sheets (and mats) and a covering layer of Daytona Vinyl. All based on the concept used by Goldy: The issue is whether foam sheets can adhere to cardboard (FW's helmet) well. I pray hot-glue will due the trick. If not, then plz someone direct me to a material or adhesive that can handle a little punishment. |

Stuck on step 5, please help!
I'm stuck on step 5 of the instructions, I don't know if I'm overlooking something but does each piece that I cut out supposed to be half of a curve? Also, when I'm tracing the lines for the piece, I don't see how I can mirror it for the opposite side of the piece without having two unproportional pieces. I'm so confused! X.x
