So, here's the deal. In a few months, I'm gonna cosplay Sesshomaru. However, I can't wear lenses (allergic), meaning I'll have to go with my normal (blue) eye color instead of his yellow. Do you think this will affect the cosplay a lot, or that people really won't care? I've looked around, and it seems that every other Sesshy-cosplayer has lenses...

Also, the ears. I really can't find any good ears, and most of my money will go to the outfit, so I can't spend that much on ears really. I've seen cosplayers with Sesshy-ears, and without.

All in all, I guess my question is: Will no ears and no contact lenses make it into a bad cosplay..?

Don't worry about the ears; his hair is long enough you're not going to notice anyway. For the eyes, don't worry about it.

Basically, as long as the costume itself looks fabulous, so will you. And his is a really hard one to mistake

Don't worry about it. I can't wear coloured contacts either.

A lot of people don't bother with contacts anyway (if it really matters your eye colour can be changed in photos). Don't worry about it.

Those are just minor details and don't make or break a cosplay in any way, it's just an added bonus or whatever you want to call it. But yeah, most people probably won't even notice the lack or pointy ears or contact lenses (especially if your costume is good) so I'd say just go for it.
His hair is pretty long anyway so I don't think the ears would catch that much attention anyway and contact lenses are understandable that not everyone can, or even want, to wear them.

People would probably not notice that ur not wearing ears or contacts. What impresses them is the costume itself. So as long as ur costume is good, u won't make it a "bad" cosplay.

Like people have already said, its not too big of a deal. The eyes are a very small part of the cosplay, and no one will be confused as to who you are without them.

As for the ears, you can just keep your hair over your normal ears and no one will notice.

It has a bunch of really good, cheap ears (like, $12 or so) and I'm actually going to order from them for an elf cosplay I'm planning. Just don't forget to buy the Spirit Gum!

Oh, Aradani. I ordered the small elf ears for my Byakuya (InuYasha, pics in my gallery) cosplay and they were amazing. Just a thumbs up for them.
