Thank you to everyone this year for making it a fun shoot!

Starting early again so that we have more attendees (and Saturday is already filling up!)

Based on the times of the past years, I'm going to go ahead and post a time/day now. Hopefully it will help you all in determining your costume rotations, and it will be early enough in the day that you won't have to worry about missing out on certain events/panels or the heat of high noon. If anyone is finding conflicts with this and would like to select a different day/time, please post! Right now Saturday is getting filled up with the larger groups (though Hetalia's may be moving). The sooner we pick a time, the better. It'll allow us to make use of the largest space without interference from other groups.

Time: 10 am (should last about an hour)
Location: Cancer's Survivor Plaza (under the skywalk)Directions, via Google. It's right outside the convention center to the NW.


I'd also like to try and come up with a different set-up for photos this time. So if anyone has any ideas, please share!

Just show up. ^^ The thread is here to let people discuss about costume plans, get to know one another, share tips/ideas/suggestions/etc. and provide a time/date so that it doesn't get lost amongst the sea of other photo shoots.

Even if you're not in FF cosplay and just want to see the other amazing costumes, we will be happy to have you!

Potential Photo Line-up.

Please comment if you like the idea or hate it or want to make suggestions. Feedback is always appreciated! Having been to dozens of FF shoots as both a spectator and a participant, it's time to try something different.

By System:

Nintendo (FF1-3)
SNES (FF4-6)
Playstation (FF7-9, Chocobo Racing, Tactics, Chocobo Dungeon)
Playstation 2/3, PC, and Anime (FF10-14, Unlimited, Legend of the Crystals, Chocobo’s Crystal Tower, Knights of the Crystals)

Note: If your character is from a spin-off such as FF4: The After Years, FF7: Advent Children, FF13-2, group up with your primary game.
Note #2: PS2-Anime are lumped into one category as 11, 12, 14, and the animes tend to have few cosplayers. We're lucky to get one a year from any of those categories. It felt like the best location for those titles without feeling singled out.

Hoping to have either Kuja or Yuj ready for A-kon XD Though depending how things go, maybe both

I have some ideas for photo-ops too if we get the people for them and have the time
siblings/related characters, heroes vs. villains

:| and I personally want there to be a gang of Lightnings attacking the Snows. I just remember one year the FF group had a gang of Tifas bullying a single Loz for one of the photo-ops and it was hilarious. Then again, the line of Clouds doing the can-can was also pretty great

Ahh siblings. That's a good one. And with FF13-2 coming out soon I wouldn't be surprised to see the continuing growth of 13 cosplayers. Good suggestions!

Also got a friend coming with me that should be Snow. He's not completely 100% on it but he's been planning on it for a while so chances are pretty good lol He's been going back and forth about which one to do actually--either the new one or the old one. I think last I spoke to him he was leaning more towards the new one
