Spoiler Help?

I want to do a Spoiler costume for Derby City ComiCon in June 2012.
I really suck at these. Erm, any help?

I'm thinking I'll probably go with getting a white turtleneck and white yoga/sweat pants or leggings and dyeing them. The color seems to change depending on the light. So I figure I can get away with dyeing them nearly any shade of purple XD.
I've yet to figure the belt out, so any insight on that would be GREATLY appreciated.
I think I know what I'm going to do for the cape, I'm probably going to use this. http://diyfashion.about.com/od/costu...ake_a_Cape.htm I have the same haircut/color so I'll most likely leave the hood down.
The gloves don't seem too hard to find. Help still appreciated though.
As for the boots, I have black boots that look quite a bit like these. http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-BLACK-KN...em2c5ffadb dd I'm thinking I could just modify them a bit and put the pirate-type thingy along the tops.

Any help at all would be way appreciated, and I really hope this made some sense. >__<
My head is killing me so just tell me if it's gibberish, thanks, lol.

Sounds like a good plan. Some tips:

- If you want the cape to match a top and bottom that you're going to dye, do the dye job first. It's easier to dye first then try to match with a fabric for the cape, than it is to have a fabric and try to match it with a dye, which could, by human error or not, end up being lighter/darker/different than the cape color.
- Cotton has some stretch to it, but if you're going with leggings or a form fitting top, it will usually have a mix of cotton as well as polyester. Polyester doesn't usually take to dyeing well, so be sure to follow the directions with the dye your using, and be prepared to let it sit in the dye a little longer than normal, since the synthetic fibers will probably resist the dye more. Also, dye the two pieces in the same dyeing session, so that you can match the color/amount of dye.

Yeah...I'm still wondering if her cape is the same color. -looks at references- Yeah. So, I'll probably dye the fabric for the cape, too.
And thank you! I know nothing of dyeing and that information might just save my butt. And on dyeing in the same session, definitely.
Thank you~. ^___^
So now to figure out what I'm going to do for that belt...

While rj_sosongco is right about stretch cotton being a blend, it's usually a cotton/spandex or lycra blend, both of which take dye just fine. You could even go a style further and look for nylon leggings and a turtleneck or turtleneck leotard, both of which will match the "superhero spandex" aesthetic much better.

As for the cape, I recommend getting both of your bodysuit pieces and dying them, then going to your local fabric store and finding something that matches. As someone who matches spandex and wovens regularly, I can tell you it'll probably be a pain to get the right color/texture. But much better to match to the spandex than try to dye to another fabric.

For the belt, it looks like a simple black band across with no buckle up front, with the cylindrical capsules you see on the classic Batman utility belt.

I'd find a black belt. You can wear it backwards with the buckle at your back so that the cape covers it. For the capsules, maybe find something that shape (Mini M&Ms tubes or old glue sticks come to mind ), or mold with paperclay or polymer clay, then glue onto the belt.
