Play on words as cosplay
Have any of you seen cosplays that are a play on words?
For example, at FanExpo a few years ago, there was an Ash Ketchum - gotta slash 'em all cosplay, which combined a Pokémon Ash with Ash from The Evil Dead, chainsaw hand and all. Last Anime North, I also saw Dr. Har-who-hi. She had the Haruhi hair and uniform with a Dr. Who coat and scarf (from what I remember) and a sign that said something along the lines of "aliens, time travelers and espers please meet me in my TARDIS". I think cosplays like this are really great. They're unique and funny. Do you have any stories of cosplays like this? |

I haven't seen it in person, but Chew-box-a is one that comes to mind.

I've seen people from Halo go as Master Chef (chef's hat and apron, ect) as a play on the words Master Chief. Somehow, it amuses me.

I was really tempted to get a white wig, red contacts, and a dance mat, and cosplay as the DDR.

Someone should go as Pikamew/Mewchu. Or just any Pokemon splice, really.

I was thinking of making a black rock shooter cosplay and play on her name being "Rock."
I am planning on making the jacket out of denim and not bias the stripes and stars to give it a more grungy/rock look. I was also thinking of attaching the flame eye to a pair of aviators and making my weapon a guitar. The weapon Idea i got from this picture;http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs71/f/20...18-d3c3vdv.png |

I've seen about a million plays on the term "steampunk". Still haven't seen "steamfunk" yet with Victorian damask bell-bottoms and steam-powered afros (complete with brass combs). Someone do this now for Dragon*Con!
