Flynn Question

Okay, so I'm working on my doublet, yeah.

I did paneling for the line sections. It doesn't show very well - the lines (which is making me wish I chose suede or leather but what's done is done). Best ways to accentuate the lines in the costume? Painting? If topstitching is the answer (I haven't put in the details or edging yet [I'm kind of a newb so I prolly did some of this stuff out of order]) I'd have to rip out the lining (I think), which I'm really hesitant to do. I can still do the detail edging that way (like on the top of the collar and edge of the shoulder thingy.

What's the best way for me to go about fixing this? Is pressing some chalk or paint or weathering it in a certain way a better way to bring out the lines?
