Does anyone know a place with good screencaps? I know TES wiki is good, but they aren't that great for clothing. I'm also looking for male clothes, so the link above to female clothes doesn't help too much. |

Thanks! Yeah, I figured as long as they were basically the same it'd be okay. I found this mod which, I don't USE, but the colors they used really show the shapes well, so that's helped me. I completely forgot about the nightingale icons though, so I might just put those on afterwards. There will be lots of post carving tweaking. Me too! Thankfully there are quite a few screenshots around, but having like a million different views of the bow and armor would be amazing. |

Ringo: Nope, no pattern. Just had a few beers and draped the damn thing
Also, now I'm enertaining the idea of making my Dovakiin either an Altmer or Dunmer. Becasue I'm ambitious and have an odd desire to play with makeup and be an elf :P

I'll be using this pattern for my robes.
http://www.simplicity.com/p-6970-bur...obin-hood.aspx I was going to use a monk costume I got at the costume store but the fabric is a little too silky for me. @Hells_Knight: Do you think you could get me a screenshot of the Master Robes of Illusion for the men? My boyfriend is going to be making those. @Mekarah: For my handle (whenever I got around to making the bow) I was going to use PVC pipe and dowels. Though I made some knock-off apothecary satchels today out of duct tape and I'm surprised how sturdy they are! I'll have pictures tomorrow. Wednesday I'll be getting fabric to cover them.Last edited by RingoDeathStarr : 01-24-2012 at 12:00 AM. |

I'm not sure where it would be. Hm.
I found this site http://skyrim.mmo-game.eu/lists-all-armor/ which lists it as this: 0010D67C : Master Robes of Illusion (EnchClothesRobesMageIllusion05) Also I found this if anyone has Garry's Mod. http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=127703 It says "dangerous file" but it's not dangerous other than that it's a huge file. Note: when I installed it I had to drag the "models" and "materials" folders out of the addons folder and put them in the main GMOD folder and I had to browse to find them in game. I find Gmod is a great tool for cosplay research. Speaking of: Mekarah, I took some Nightingale bow pics for you. I'd take a pic of the armor but the argonian bodies are hard to pose. http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...tgrass0003.jpg - Back http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...tgrass0002.jpg - Side http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...tgrass0001.jpg http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...tgrass0000.jpg - Front Last edited by RingoDeathStarr : 01-24-2012 at 10:37 AM. |

Whoops! Sorry. Female please
Thanks again! Also guys? Guys. I got my leather samples today! Eee so excited. I'm struggling between two of them. Unfortunately the website doesn't have direct links to them, but, if you go here, the two I'm looking at are the "Genuine American Bison Full Hides" (black) and "CARBON!!" (ha, there isn't a better name, sorry). Honestly I'm leaning more towards the bison because of the color and the carbon because of the leather itself. The carbon is a bit TOO grey for me I think though (it's dark, but still definitely grey), even though it's a bit stiffer and thinner which would work better for this (and for my sewing machine). The bison is super super soft, which is good, and a lovely lovely black, but since it's so soft it's flimsier. However, it is thicker. I'm such a leather newb. However, having it in my hands makes it seem way less scary. Quote:
These are brilliant, thank you so much.Quote:

No problem, Mekarah. If you need any more angles, I'll be happy to take pics. The Gmod download seems to come with a good amount of weapons and helmets.
It comes with armors too but they're on (male) Argonians and if they're not posed properly the texture stretches I got some boots today and a pair of pants and some red gloves for Shrouded Hand Wraps. I took some pictures. http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...M/_DSC0659.jpg - These are the boots I got from Salvation Army for $10! http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...M/_DSC0661.jpg - Duct-tape Satchel http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...M/_DSC0662.jpg - it opens! http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...M/_DSC0663.jpg - Duct-tape Satchel (take two) which didn't turn out as well as the first one. But my boyfriend doesn't care and he'll wear it anyway. |

I'm planning on getting together the Dark Brotherhood shrouded armor myself. I've asked around a few other places today, but I just want to get as many different ideas and approaches as possible before I get started. I pretty much know how I'm going to handle everything other than the chest. I'm not sure if I'm going to mod a pleather jacket or attempt to make it from scratch, any ideas would be appreciated because I'm completely new to making costumes.
As far as props go, I plan to make the Blade of Woe to go with it and possibly even rig up some kind of subtle LED setup around my left palm so I keep my Healing on deck. Who knows, I have a good bit of time until September. EDIT: Forgot to mention that I'm shooting for the Skyrim version.

Here's a good reference image for the armor http://static.skyrimnexus.com/downlo...1322771500.jpg
It reminds me of a superhero chestplate. |

This is a pretty good reference. And it actually made me lean more towards the idea of taking a pleather jacket from a thrift store or something (even if it's a girl's jacket, no worries) and just hacking away at it so that all that's left is the chest portion. Then I'll just attach the red part for the stomach as a separate piece so that will kind of be a natural way to handle some of that seam detail that's all over the place on the armor. That could work and be much easier than making it from scratch.
Not to mention, I can leave the zipper on it and it'll be covered by the other red pieces. I may skip out on the seams along the pectoral region unless the jacket has those already (who knows, maybe it'll just work out that way). Thanks for that! I at least have some idea now.

I read what mekarah said and she was right, there was a clothes section, that is the sub folders. I've had a look but I cant find any illusion robes or anything along that so I'll need to know which one its most likely to be and I can just rip them all On another note this is an unpatched version of skyrim so if there is any dlc (I have no idea) I don't have it And mekarah here is just the bow, I'm still working on the other stuff http://www.mediafire.com/?y9vx2q29p089n0h http://www.mediafire.com/?4wdhvvkaoo77txo EDIT: Added Torso (Install the program I promise its safe use it to get every possible angle of the bow with the texture on) Last edited by Hells_Knight : 01-24-2012 at 11:13 PM. |

If Sheogorath's regalia from Oblivion wasn't so ugly I'd totally cosplay it. My favorite outfit is still the Deceiver's Finery.
