I have just sent her an email at that address and am eagerly awaiting a reply. If this works I will be eternally grateful to both of you.

just wondering if the one refund was a lucky fluke |

I emailed her and at first she responded but over the last two days she has stopped. Either she is going back on her word again or she is really really busy. For some reason I think it's the first one.

I e-mailed her at the new address as well, and haven't heard a word. I'd be willing to give her the benefit of the doubt if she'd at least respond and explain why she hasn't sent me a refund yet, but it's been dead silent from her end.

If you haven't yet filed a complaint with the B.B.B., I'd suggest doing so. They'll email Ashli on your behalf and create a file that will stay with her business until the issue is resolved.
I recieved my refund the same day I filed.

I'm glad I did research before putting in a commission w/ her XD;
I saw her Izaya jacket & it's sooo gorgeous! X3 <3 We only so far discussed how I was interested in a commission & she told me the options but thankfully I have not responded since than & no contract was made or money was paid. Thank God now lol. Then I saw while looking up reviews of her a link to one of her pages like Twitter or something from recent saying she can't make it to a con b/c of having no money...& now she's soon to open up commissions. After these stories all I heard in my head was "suspicioooooouuuuuussssssss." It's a shame since she's so talented & seems really nice but a lot of times scams people I don't understand how you could do something like that to someone. Especially in this situation a fellow cosplayer at that. Did any of you ever get your outfits??? Last edited by ForeverLily : 01-06-2012 at 08:42 AM. |

I never recived my outfit or my promised refund, even after filing with the BBB. I strongly reccomend that you do not contact her again because she is simply not trustworthy. At this point the only people who have recived their costumes are people who live in California and I suspect that the reason she did that was because she feared going to small claims court.

Wow. I wish I had found this forum post much earlier.
I commissioned Ashli almost a year ago, and paid for half of the costume upfront, for material fees. A month or so later my car was broken into and I had other expenses that wouldn't allow me to pay the second half, so we talked about it. I asked for either a refund or a delay in costume production. She wanted to delay the costume since she "already ordered the materials". She never showed me any of the materials she had "purchased" either. I was so stupid to think that it was okay, but it was my fault I couldn't pay for the second half at the time, so I happily agreed, trusting her. I would keep in touch with her once or twice, and then that was it. I still can't get a hold of her to this day. I can't ask for PayPal to investigate this because it's long beyond their time limit. What bothers me even more is I don't mind just getting the costume. I just want contact. I have e-mailed her, and I've sent her messages through cosplay.com. (I didn't list any dates here, but do have them all saved on my e-mail.) |

She made a nice lolita dress for me and there was no trouble, even with shipping it to Australia.. She was lovely. It's a shame so many people are having trouble with her D:
