Who does the best commissions?
I am looking to commission a very high-quality cosplay (money isn't really a concern. I'm willing to pay more to get the quality I want) and wanted to know who you guys would suggest? The cosplay had many steam-punkish elements, and a corset.
Who does the best work? Also, sorry if this is in the wrong section! This is my first post! ![]() |

God save the queen fashions
She does outstanding work, is a joy to interact with and provides very good feedback about the construction of your piece. She's absolutely marvelous to exchange with (Via e-mail at least )(And no, I'm not getting paid for this) However, she does have a lot of demand due to her talent, so you need to book very early, I think she's only got room past... September? If I remember. |

I actually have to agree with the above. In fact, as seen here on the Comissioner review thread under the "God Save the Queen fashions" heading- http://www.cosplay.com/showthread.php?t=105758 she has a stellar record. I believe she also has a degree in theatrical costuming, which means mad skill.

I have to also add accolades to GStQF, her work is stellar.
For props, I've always respected the heck out of Volpin and Blind Squirrel: http://volpinprops.blogspot.com/ http://www.blindsquirrelprops.blogspot.com/ But be warned, all of these commissioners are in high demand and their schedules are usually pretty full, so be prepared to have to wait months to get on their list. |

Thank you for the help!
I sent God Save the Queen Fashion an e-mail, but her website says she might be booked! Are there any other places that do work at that caliber? |

Volpin is the one who got me into propmaking (making my own Daft Punk helmet based on his work currently) and through his Daft Punk photoshoot and recommendation of GStQF and I was just blown away by their work. As someone who works with leather on an occasional basis, it makes the work seen on their site all the more breathtaking. That Daft Punk suit is a thing of beauty, and if I had the money, I'd commission it in an instant. If money and time aren't a worry, I'd wait until GStQF opens up some space. Their work is spectacular and you won't be disappointed.
