Well sadly it looks like we aren't going to be putting up the money to get the Tron costumes ready for this year. I'm still going to do it for sure, but won't have it for DragonCon.

I think I'll piece together the custom parts that may not be available in the future like the hex fabric, disc mounts, disc retro kits, and such this year so I can definitely be ready for next time.

I figure these costumes are so cool they won't be going away and with a third Tron movie they'll stay current for a while.
Current costumes
Tony Stark
Future costumes
Definitely a Kevin Flynn from Tron Legacy

Thanks for posting this. I was considering a Tron Legacy/Matrix crossover, i.e. having a light up trenchcoat over a body suit, etc. but I was worried that it would be too expensive. Thankfully the sun-charged glow tape doesn't look too expensive and should work for it. I can position the tape so that it has a unique design that doesn't interfere with the garment at joints, etc. The guys at NDK's Masquerave are going to love it.

I was thinking about suggesting a Tron cosplay to my girlfriend as well, but she's kind of shy and would probably kick me for suggesting a skintight outfit like most of the female programs wear, heheh. Besides, we were planning a Link/Zelda duet but I can always change before the rave.
