How do I get medium pink hair that isn't neon

Most people are familiar with the Milkshake Pink color that's become pretty popular in wigs. It's sometimes called dark pink, dusty pink, rose pink, antique rose, ect. I personally own one of those wigs and absolutely adore the color.

sometimes the color's a little lighter or darker but it's basically the same medium pink with NO trace of neon.

What i want to know: How can i achieve this hair color on my actual hair??? I've been dying my hair all kinds of crazy colors for years so bleaching it isn't an issue, it's just the sad fact that pinks always come out looking like you dyed your hair with a highlighter. Diluting a hot pink with conditioner would make the color too pastel (and still too 'hot'). I thought of mixing purples in to grey it down but it'd be all too easy to end up with lavender hair that way.

Does some brand make a pink that's as dark as hot pink but without the neon??? They all seem to jump from pastel cupcake, to hothothot pink, to deep purpley wine colors with no inbetween.

Any ideas on bleaching hair out to a medium blonde instead of a platinum and then putting a purple based pink over it to cancle out yellows and giving a murkier color???

I know this might not be the most appropriet place to ask for hair dye advice seeing as it's not for a cosplay, but i figured here would have the most people who are familiar with the milkshake pink wig color. Thankyou so much~

You can try diluting the colors by adding some conditioner little by little

The only problem with diluting with conditioner is that the color just gets lighter. By the time the neon's cancled out, it's a white/pastel pink. I need a way to keep the color dark without turning it purple or red.

maybe try a dye manufactured in japan/asia? Prettia brand has a tone called Jewel peach that is meant to tint black/drk brown hair a natural pinkish tone. On actual blond hair that might look like a more toned down salmon pink? I often see odd tones of hair dye at the asian style mall when I go and I know you can find them online at places like adambeauty.

I'd say the best option is to ask a color specialist at a salon in your area that has experience with dying non natural colours. If they exist near you?

@novaraven1 Thanks so much. i had been looking at prettia and palty and think i might try one. I asked some salons that say they specialize in unnatural colors, but i ended up knowing more about unnatural color dyes than they did. everyone seems really intent on handing me hot pink because they all think that's what i really want...
