Okay #1: Shoe color. In the art work of the ghost they look black, but that could just be shadow:

In the official game Cythina's are red:
http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__...s_cyh_1280.jpg

I was thinking I would go with black, because it looks more like the ghost image and it more ominous. However, if I do that perhaps all my other questions don't matter.

#2: Should the ghost's shirt be a bit translucent? What I mean by this is that Cynthia, pre death, has a some what see-thru top on:
http://images.wikia.com/silent/images/4/46/Cynthia.PNG
Although the artwork (seen above) and this skin capture:
http://alchemillahospital.net/wp-con...010/02/141.jpg
Don't seem to be translucent, it could add to the costume. Also, you'll notice in the skin photo that the skirt is the same as well, its just muddied up. That's why I kinda feel like she should look a bit more like her pre-death self.

#3: Face BLOOD! These two art photos have been connected back to Cynthia:
http://alchemillahospital.net/wp-con...IN_TEX_000.JPG
http://content.ytmnd.com/content/d/d...3da0ab0fdf.jpg
However, again, the actual game art does not have red around her mouth as such. I'm thinking with the blood (just cause I like me a bit of blood) but again, I'd love to hear opinions.
It's hard to tell what her shoe color is from that ghost image, but maybe since the rest of her outfit gets so dirtied up when she becomes a ghost, buy a red of red heels and dirty them up? Possibly to the point where you can't tell they are red anymore?

I always thought her shirt was transparent since you can see her bra through it. Here's a good picture of the transparency: http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__...5c/Cynthia.png However, when she's a ghost, it doesn't look transparent. It actually kind of looks like flesh:

Those lines on her shoulder remind me of veins, and her shirt is more of a flesh tone since her skin is now grey/white. She also has visible veins in the grey skintone, but they are not that obvious (Though there are some aged bloodstains under her skirt, which may be related to what she looks like after Walter kills her: http://gamernode.com/upload/manager/...room/sh4-3.jpg) That's what it reminds me of, at least.

When I watched the video of her ghost appearance, I didn't notice any blood around her mouth (It's mostly on her fingers) but that is pretty damn creepy, so I think that would be a neat addition.

Do you know when you plan on making this? If you have it for Otakon, we could get some pics with my Eileen. I'm always up for more SH4 cosplay fun! (Will you do a special favor for me?) 8)

Log time lurker, first time poster here...

Are there any Maria cosplayers in this thread/around?
I am in the process of putting her outfit together and her belt is giving me a major headache. It looks to be an omega chain or a snake chain but I can't find any anywhere that are long enough, thick enough, and won't cost a small fortune. I've looked at plain chains, jewellery, chain belts and even purses with chain straps to find something salvageable. No such luck .

What has everyone else used? I've been contemplating just using an ordinary chain, perhaps even a belly/belly dancer-style chain because the belt does seem to have that theme in general.

Wow, late reply is late!

I was out of luck too and so I had simply used a gold chain with larger, flat links http://www.cosplay.com/photo/572360/

Will there be a Silent Hill / survival horror meet-up at Dragon*Con this weekend? There was one last year, but I could not make it due to conflicting schedule. I was greatly disappointed to go out into the wild later on as Harry Mason, only to have no one recognize me.

My reply is probably a bit late, but have you posted in the actual Dracon*Con sub forum?

Ooo! I just found this thread and I thought I should share. I have a Robbie the Rabbit head I'm trying to get out there.

I'm trying to get the word out because I don't have the stamina or the patience to wear cosplay, honestly, but I love designing it. Please guys, tell me what you think, I'd love to hear your comments!

Oh! I'd like to share. (And try to get some more activity happening on this thread. How did I not find this earlier?)
My friend cosplays as Henry and I cosplay as Walter from Silent Hill 4: The Room.

And if anyone is interested, we put together a skit that can be seen here on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6IWAWTykS8

I'm doing a nurse.
Just wish I had the chest for it. I'm too skinny. xD
But I was wondering...what did people do for the mask? I tried plaster, but that doesn't cover my whole head. Then I did paper mache around a ballon, and got it to full cover, but I can't make it...blend in.

My last resort would be wrapping bandages around my face. I don't want to go there, but does anyone know how to do a fitting mask?
