Twi'lek Head piece
Any idea how this should come about? I was thinking of a Hot pink Twi'lek for my Jedi robes. Any suggestions?

The Star Wars costuming groups Rebel Legion and 501st are good places for info, as several members have made lekku by various means.
Here's one tutorial for fabric lekku, which I have used with good results. http://www.completewermosguide.com/lekku.html And this lady makes and sells latex lekku-email her if you are interested: http://chucrew.com/Twilek/twilek.html I have a pair and they're beautiful. The fabric lekku are very light and move beautifully, but aren't quite as realistic up close as the latex ones. On the other hand, the latex variety look very lifelike-great for photoshoots and masquerades, but are heavier and don't bounce and move like the fabric ones. The late |

^^ I know several people who do Twi'leks as I am in the 501st Legion. I myself plan on doing a male sith Twi'lek in the near future

Ooo!
Excellent links! I've been wanting a Twi'lek costume for nearly 2 years now, and now I feel less intimidated.

Wow, I'm so happy I found this! One thought of mine (and full support of my boyfriend) was to be Darth Talon. I'm happy I came upon this thread.

Lol, already having nightmares about that. It took two hours to paint my girl blue for the day and 2 1/2 to get it off. Can't imagine doing that in red with more body exposure, and all those tatooooos. But Darth Talon's such a beast. Whoever doesn't believe cosplay = pain never cosplayed a Twi'lek!! ![]()

This is also a good source for Twi'lek information. They're all Twi'lek costumers, so you should be able to find some useful information there. |
