Any styles you'd suggest I wear under it? Would I just need a skirt and petticoat? . v.

Well I mean, you'll need a whole outfit. So that's a skirt x blouse or a jsk x blouse or an op. Plus a petticoat, some socks or tights, shoes, headwear, accessories. I'd recommend going with something in a similar color scheme, a cute print on black would look very nice with it.

Hi again! I haven't posted here in a while... :P

I'm wearing Lolita to a convention next month, but I'm worried about my coord. It's my first time wearing Sweet Lolita (I'm used to Classic, which is easier for me to understand and tends to look nicer on me anyway) and want to make sure I'm doing all right.

Not all of the pieces have arrived yet, but can I link some official merchandise photos of the separate pieces and get some advice? I really hope I'm doing all right, since I've already purchased everything! Guess I should have asked beforehand. I was feeling pretty positive about it, but am having second thoughts now. The only real thing I'm worried about is the blouse. Anyway, would that be ok?

Ok, well, here is my coord. Please let me know how I did! It's my first time wearing Sweet Lolita. The dress itself is pretty... umm... out there, so I thought I'd add an interesting blouse and keep the accessories light. I hope I did all right, since I've already purchased everything. Guess I should have asked before diving in. Aaaaaanyway, here goes!

Head Accessory 1
Head accessory 2 (One blue, one pink)
Necklace (Exact one pictured on mannequin)
Blouse (Minus brooch and cravat)
Additional photo
Dress
Socks
Shoes

Fingers crossed!

To me everything looks okay except those HUGE ruffles on the shoulders. If possible, i suggest removing them? They make it look a bit too much like a maid costume, and are a bit too overpowering. Otherwise, it looks really good! I asume you have a petticoat as well?

Yeah, good point. The shoulders are tiered like the dress, so maybe I can remove (or at the very least, fold under) the outer most tier. I'll have to have another look at my dress to figure out the best way to remove them. Thanks for the tip!

Oh, yes, of course. I'll be using the same petticoat I wore for the Classic Lolita coord in my gallery. I love that thing! It's huuuuge. XD

EDIT: Anyone else?

EDIT 2: Guess not... :P

Very cute skirt! It's a skirt though, not a jumperskirt because it has no bodice ^^ Looks to me like you need at least a small petti under there, even with casual lolita. Other than that, your outfit looks cute!

Hey guys~ :D Got another blouse to check on:
http://i488.photobucket.com/albums/r...225121124a.jpg

I actually used to use this thing for Civil War re-enactments, but I haven't been to any in years, so... :/ I was planning on adding a ruffle around the collar to make it stand up more, plus some around the sleeves and maybe some nice cotton lace or pintucks (since it's way too big for me as is) down the front. What do you guys think? To be honest, what I'm most concerned about is the sleeves. XD Are they just way too big? I'd really like to think they'd be okay for gothic or possibly one of the boy-styles~

The skirt is nice but you need a blouse with a bit more detail even if you are going for casual loli. Right now you are a little unbalanced looking adding tights or socks in the same color as your blouse will help. Try adding a little trim to the color or sleeves and perhaps a bow or take up the neck chain on the pocket watch right now it is hitting in a awkward place. A little below the collar would look nice as would adding something else to the chain. It looks like it is almost too large for the chain.

Yes. Both of those things can work.

My only question is reserved for the top - are those holes in the shirt? Because if so, you'll need to wear something dark underneath it to hide your skin.
